Background information on Maria Lauterbach's murder can be found all over the internet, but the basics are this: Maria Lauterbach was a marine stationed at Camp Lejeune. She was RAPED by fellow marine Cesar Armando Laurean. In mid-December, Lauterbach had disappeared. In January of 2008 her burned and charred remains alongside that of her UNBORN baby were found in the back of Laurean's house.

I have received some threats in regards to this memorial site. That which ARE being investigate by the military/government. One of my blog "Death Threats are Sent" contains a link to an article in the JAcksonville Daily News about this. The blog is up for public view.
Personally I want Maria Lauterbach's story heard and I want that S.O.B Cesar Armando Laurean......CAUGHT!

You know, if the murderer was innocent of that rape, that baby would have been living proof of it once it was born. So he needed to kill her & then baby and then he thought that by burning the bodies, it would undo any trace of dna that baby had to him and exonerate him. I just can't believe there are other soldiers out there that believe HIM and they let those idiots that are just that jaded and stupid actually carry weapons? If people actually believe this man is innocent of rape and then the murder of 2 people because he wasn't man enough to come clean for it... I guess the others believe rape is ok too then? Honestly,,,why not just wait for the DNA of the baby if he was truly innocent?
Never you mind those death threats...people who are JUST AS GUILTY and who have just as much to hide tend to lash out in fear when they are feeling backed into a corner. They want you shut up because they know too much. They will get thiers.

It amazes me how there are people in the world that can just take the life of someone with no thought to it, and also no kind of remorse....i can actually sympathizwe with this situation right here..On May 26, 2008 my husbands cousin Haether Lynn Franklin and her unborn child were murdered..The way that the news has it her cousin and her cousins boyfriend were in the car with her..the cousins boyfriend got upset and shot her in the head, and then threw her out of the car in a park...Thankfully he got caught and they are charging him with capital murder..But look at all the ones who do this sort of thing and dont get caught at all...I just dont see how there are people in this world who can just kill someone in cold blood and not even think twice about it..
