It's one of the most eagerly anticipated events every season - "The Biggest Loser" makeover episode -- and Tim Gunn and Tabatha Coffey (Bravo's "Tabatha's Salon Takeover") return to help transform the remaining six contestants on the popular NBC series.

First, Gunn works his fashion magic helping the contestants pick out stylish new outfits to flatter their slimmer selves. Then Tabatha transforms them further with complete salon makeovers, helping the final six look fabulous before they give speeches about their weight loss journeys to motivate others at a TV Guide Magazine event.

Then it's time for amazing reveals and emotional reunions, when the made-over contestants show off their incredible new looks to loved ones flown in to help them celebrate their big day and hear their emotional speeches. Later, the contestants face a high-flying challenge across a canyon divide, and the winner is rewarded with a two-week trip to "The Biggest Loser" resort at Fitness Ridge in southern Utah. Then a tense elimination follows the weigh-in, sending another contestant home. Alison Sweeney hosts the series, and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels also star.

The makeover episode also includes a special hunger awareness segment featuring the band OneRepublic helping out at a Feeding America event in their hometown of Denver. In 2007, after seven years together as a band, OneRepublic took the world by storm with their debut release "Dreaming Out Loud." The album included the smash single "Apologize" which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide. Their sophomore set "Waking Up," on Mosley/Interscope Records, will be released November 17th as first single "All The Right Moves" climbs up the radio charts.

TVPGL.
Parental guidance is suggested.
The program contains material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children.

Daniel talked about the lack of education both nutritional and physical and he was right but I don't think that's the only problem in our schools. Rebbecca had a chance to add to this but just gave her own sob story which, while touching, wouldn't give the congressmen anything to work with.

I would have added that all the education isn't going to work where kids are trapped for most of the day with little or no healthy food choices but vending machines galore. And, since schools are now responsible for identifying students who are not progressing appropriately, they should also identify students who may need additional counseling as well as family counseling, etc.

Red Line Elimination

My husband and I watch this show every Tuesday night. Last night was absolutely unbelievable. A double weigh in. OUTCH!! The one person who absolutely needs to stay on campus is off and back home. I cannot believe it. I have never heard of a RED LINE at a weigh in. A double elimination is one thing, but having it because the person who falls below the RED LINE is automatically out and then a regular elimination with the two people who fall below the YELLOW LINE. Give me a break. This is crazy!!

First, there’s a tennis ball pop challenge that rewards the winner with an advantage at weigh-in. Then the contestants have to jump through hoops – literally – when they head to the circus for a lively challenge with the coveted prize of immunity for whoever wins.

Later, contestants are led by trainer Bob Harper through a wild, trapeze-swinging last chance workout, only to return to the ranch and find trainer Jillian Michaels ready to put them through a second, grueling last chance workout.

Then a dramatic weigh-in leads to heartbreaking eliminations as the contestants say goodbye to two more players.

TVPGL.
Parental guidance is suggested.
The program contains material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children.
So, we know from the previews that at least some of the contestants made the choice to go with out their trainers this week in order to secure some sort of advantage. Does it come back to bite them in the arse? Does NBC play up the drama just to have a feel good pull through in the end moment? Are people already getting caught up in the game play?

So, as we saw from the previews this week the contestants have a challenge. If they collectively hit 150 lbs. of lost weight, then no one is sent home. If they do not hit 150 lbs. of lost weight then two people go home. Keep in mind, week two is notorious for people not doing well.

Place your bets, place your bets. Whats gonna happen?

HEY, YOU! GET UP OFF THAT COUCH!

Yes, YOU!! You can do it!!

Ok, so some of us have been exercising during the commercials while watching The Biggest Loser, and some of you have been sitting there eating ice cream. So to help those who might not be moving enough, we've devised a simple routine that will give you roughly a 35 minute workout while watching the show. C'mon, it'll be fun!!!

Here is what you will need:

Some kind of hand weights - either dumb bells or 2 canned goods
A chair, like a dining room chair with a back on it
A glass of water

Here is how it works:

1. Every time someone mentions Bob's name, do 20 arm curls (10 for each arm):

2. Everytime someone mentions Jillian's name, do 10 arm overhead dumbbell extensions:

Take dumbbell or can overhead, holding it with both hands. Keeping elbows pointed up, lower forearms behind your head, then straighten again.

3. Every time someone cries or you see a product placement, take a drink of water:

All of the above can be done while sitting.

Now, DURING THE COMMERCIALS, you need to get up off the couch/out of the recliner/away from the computer:

1. March in place, 40 steps, holding on to dining room chair for balance (only if needed).

2. 20 squats (with or without dumbbells). If you cannot do the squats, use the chair and get up and sit down 20 times (thanks, Moonwind!)

3. 20 lunges (10 for each leg) again, holding on to dining room chair for balance if needed.

4. 20 Knee to Elbow (10 for each leg)

Stand with your shoulders in line with your hips, and extend your right arm up and your left leg to the side, toes pointed. Next, lower your right elbow and raise your left knee, crunching them together on a diagonal line. Return to start.

That's all it is! These are merely guidelines, so work at you won pace, but at least get up!!

We are open to any and all suggestions, so please help us out. Going forward, we would like to have a variety of exercises for a variety of exercise levels, so if you have any ideas, please post here or send the mods a pm. Thanks, and good luck!!!!

*Take bathroom breaks as needed, and we are not responsible for any accident or injury you may incur.
