Media Alerts/Merchandise Part Four

Just got my s2 DVD set so thought would start posting again. Was watching one of the declassified scenes either from v the seduction or the start of v the break up and it's Sarah and chuck having dinner one the date that never was. It was a wonderful scene from a shipper point of view but was also funny in the way it played out.

That's essentially what I want from s3 them trying to be a normal couple but finding it difficult for various issues. The bit in the deleted scene when chuck comments we're doomed was hilarious

Touring the Chuck Set

I had a chance to tour Warner Bros. studios while on the vacation the end of August. I went on the exclusive five hour Deluxe tour, which is limited to 12 people a day (only five of us the day I went), with the hope of visiting the Chuck set. Unfortunately, the three sound stages where Chuck is filmed were in use as the third episode was being filmed, so I could not visit the set. One stage is for the Buy More, another is for Chuck’s house and the courtyard, and the third stage was/is being used for Weinerlicious, Orange Orange, the castle, and now Subway according our senior tour guide. The third stage, which is right next to one that was used for ER, had a large door open and you could see that they still had signage for the Weinerlicious right by the door, which blocked you from seeing much else. Outside the stages, there were a few golf carts and bikes that had Chuck signs on them indicating who they were for (i.e. writers).

Despite the fact that you had to lock your phone and camera up for at least 75% of the time, I was able to get a couple of pictures of me with a Nerd Herd vehicle. I also saw one of Zachary Levi’s Buy More outfits that is on display in the WB museum. We also drove by the Chuck production staff house and by the employee parking garage that was emptied out for filming of the first episode of season two.

I did get to visit the sets of Two and Half Men, Cold Case, and The Mentalist, in addition to outdoor sets of True Blood and Eastwick (formerly used for Gilmore Girls). The only star we saw during the tour was Gary Marshall.

Our tour guide mentioned the following about Chuck:
- All of the cast took a “drastic” pay cut to help keep the show on the air.
-	The biggest budget difference will be that the show will be filming off-site less this year. You may not even notice that as every building (even the cafeterias) on the 112 acres of WB property is designed to look different so that it can easily be used for filming. I saw numerous location scouts walking around.
-	The number of guest appearances this season will not change as the rate paid is not that significant even for actors like Chevy Chase and Scott Bakula that negotiate above scale.

I also told the WB gift store employees that they need to add some Chuck merchandise as all they were selling were season one DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. They said they hear that request a lot and hope to receive some new merchandise soon.

While at a Cubs – Dodgers game that week, I ended up sitting right behind Kevin Weisman, who made a guest appearance on Chuck vs. The Truth as the gymnast looking to sell the secrets. He was a very nice guy. Also, saw Vince Vaughn and Christian Slater at the game. Looking forward to another vacation to LA to see Chuck!

Couldn't find a thread for Vik so I'm starting one... I had the opportunity to interview him last night on the show Filmnut (we had Josh Gomez on a little while ago too)... He had a lot of great things to say, and was very funny saying them... The interviewed covered Chuck, and a lot more (of course Jeffster was brought up)...
