Please bring back Journeyman!

I know this is the message boards for another show, but somehow we need to make a difference. Quality television shows are being cancelled for other shows that are either reality shows that the general public is absolutely tired of, or game shows, or frivilous dumb comedies. Please, NBC, please bring back quality television shows, like Journeyman.

Thank You

Old vs New

First let me say--I hope BW is renewed.. but I have a few comments.. The old series was very successful along with the SMDM. WHY WHY WHY do the writers/directors have to make so many changes.. For example.. several of the episodes showed a fight scene where Jamie was taking on 2 or 3 "regular" people and she was getting her butt kicked for most of the scene.. Shes bionic she should be able to throw people around with no problem.. Lindsey had no problems (old BW). Also where is the "bionic" sound effects (they are far and few between).. I do like the new story line, just wish they would take more from the original.. They did the same to the incredible hulk.. everyone knows the tv show (again very successful) and they make a movie, which is based on the comics, but it was not very good.. if they followed the tv show it think it would have been lot better..
Anyways just my feelings..

What bothers me is lack of original sci-fi content

What really bugs me is the lack of original sci-fi content atm all sci-fi are spin offs of old sci-fi shows, now with all the books out there why has there not been anything original for decades.

The reason this show bombed was because its a bloody soap with little or no sci-fi the original bionic series had them showing off there abilities do super-human things, this is more like nikita cloak and dagger stuff really not what you call sci-fi.

The writers have gone off track and stories are old re-hashes of cloak and dagger shows nothing new to see here there has been dozens of these type of show that died off because lack of interest.

If they do bring it back this show needs to stick more with the original series using her super-human abilities to save the world.

Let's take a poll..

With all the talk about low ratings... that is.. Neilsen ratings.... just under 6 million in the last episode (and Gladiators was considered a hit with that many), I was just wondering how many of you actually watched the show live on Wednesday night. And/or how many of you used the TiVo or used the DVR to record it and watch it later, or even just watched it online. I keep thinking that BW had more viewers than NBC realized. Ratings only counted for watching it live, and then later they figured in TiVo.
But, how do they figure in DVR or online viewing? Let us know how you watched it...

Bionic Woman Fans - Boycott KnightRider and...

Boycott KnightRider and any other sci-fi show NBC puts on this year. Do not bother watching. It's a total waste of your time. NBC will slash these shows just as soon as you start warming up to them. They've been doing this for years, dating all the way back to axing Star Trek which of course became a blockbuster franchise when taken out of NBC's hands. So watch them if you want, it's your choice, but know that they will cut them in a heartbeat.

Bionic Woman

It's OBVIOUS to me that the executives who program the so-called free networks are NOT INTERESTED in what the viewing public wants to see. I know that two (2) excellent shows were introduced last season, just before the writer's strike, and they were dropped before the audience could even become familiar with the days and times the shows were airing. With all of the pre-empts because of one thing or another, it was difficult for me to keep up with the shows. Are the programmers so paranoid about losing their jobs, when they gamble on shows that don't have EXTREMELY high ratings, when they first air, that they forget to apply all of their programming knowledge to their tasks? Have they forgotten about the tool of "Hammocking" programs?

The two shows that I refer to, for example, are: The Bionic Woman on NBC and Big Shots on ABC. They were, without a doubt, two shows that were refreshing, in that there were great storylines and characters that I thought about after the show; thereby, prompting me to tune in for upcoming episodes. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm fed up with the so-called game shows, e.g. The Moment of Truth. The individual who pitched that idea obviously get's a kick out of seeing people say things that can potentially ruin their lives, and the programming executive who issued the final approval for airing that show, is also a morally sad individual. Furthermore, I'm tired, worn out, sick--pick one, of the so-called Reality shows--ENOUGH already! What happened to good storytelling? What happened to the characters who were so creative that they warranted the audiences following? Oh, I forgot. The shows they're associated with are cancelled before we can see where the storyline is supposed to take them.

I'm telling you, I'm finished, through, done with investing my time in watching TV for entertainment. I'm not going to set aside any more of my valuable TIME to watch something that I think is finally going to be worth watching, only to learn that it has been cancelled a month later. I'll watch the news, which by the way is now TABLOIDish, because I do want to see images of what is breaking in our city. But, for entertainment--when I have the time, I'm going back to reading novels. John Grisham has a new one out now--The Appeal. Think I'll check it out.

Again, It's OBVIOUS to me that the executives who program the so-called free networks are NOT INTERESTED in what the viewing public wants to see.

NBC 2008-2009 schedule announcement

The news said today that NBC is going to announce its fall schedule 6 weeks ahead of schedule (and ahead of the other networks). So, instead of having to wait until May, we will know the fate of the Bionic Woman next week. Let's hope they come to their senses and give this show a chance. I honestlty will have no reason to watch NBC anymore if they don't continue the show. I can't stand all the reality and game shows that saturate all the networks today. Let's go NBC execs, step up and make the right decision. You have an audience for the show out here!!!!!
