NBC Says " No more Nashville Star"

Guess what Nashville Star fans if you have been looking forward to auditioning for the next season well look no further, NBC's Universal, Peter Naylor says from an email that I have just recieved this morning 1/9/09 saying "From what I have been hearing there will NOT be another season of Nashville Star". And that was the end of the email, short and bitter. Is it because they haven't been able to produce a STAR so to speak. Ask your self this question, Do you know who was the winner from Nashville Star out of all of there seasons? Maybe you do but do they have a hit out, are they on the radio, do you hear about them in the news on special occasions like the Country Music Awards? No, the only person that has made a name for there self is Maranda Lambert, don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of hers. But mabey all Nashville Star was is the Next Nashville Dud. Why? I was looking forward to the casting calls for 2009 but I guess our next bet is American Idol. Carrie Underwood has made a Huge name for her self and yes I am a BIG fan of hers. I'm sad to see Nashville Star go but what can you expect when the talent is slim to none. I have read the message bord and all I have read is "Where is the talent" "What happened". Well I guess now you know what happened. Mistie and for a copy of the email from NBC you may email me at [email address removed by moderator - PM poster instead] and I'll send you the email that I recieved.

Just Saw the Concert!

I just got back from seeing the Nashville Star show in Plymouth, MA. I LOVED it!! I am not a huge country fan and this was my first season watching the show. I was an Ashlee Hewitt fan and loved Melissa and Gabe too! Coffey and Shaun didn't wow me on the show. But in person they were incredible!! Melissa and Gabe were as I expected. They both have awesome voices. Just beautiful! Coffey was the first on stage. (After a warm up by someone I never heard of but he wasn't bad and then a VERY VERY long wait!) Coffey has so much personality in person! He is a true performer! And he is much cuter in person!! Woohoo!! For me when I saw him on the show he seemed kind of fake and boring but nothing could be further from the truth when seeing him live! He totally interacted with the crowd and got them going and put on a great show. I especially loved the songs he did without the band and my favorite was the one he wrote himself. I'd have been happy listening to him all night.

Shaun was next up and I had never really cared for her on TV but I also loved her in concert. She is so nice and fun to watch. Her love for being there and for the audience was totally evident. She dedicated one song to the servicemen and women and the things she said and did were very moving. She went and shook hands with all the service people on the floor. She is very pretty and has a great voice but the sound people had the band so loud that it was hard to hear her. The guitars in the bands were too amped up and made some awful screeching sounds that were distracting and they were too loud. Also one of the guitarists was some kind of wannabe and kept coming up to the front of the stage and was dancing around while playing. He did it throughout the whole show and was very annoying. We didn't come to see some nameless band member. We came to see the Nashville STARS!

Then Gabe came out. He did a great job. He sounds so awesome. I would have loved to hear him sing without the band sometimes like Coffey did. While Gabe was singing Shaun went out into the audience and hung out with the veteran in a wheelchair. She really is a special girl! Melissa came out last and boy can that girl sing!! She also had a lot of stage presence and was fun to watch.

After the show all 4 of them came out to the lobby and talked with people and signed autographs and took their picture with people. They were all so very friendly and pleasant and just a joy to be around. They were very appreciative of all their fans and I loved my time with them. I am SO glad my sister invited me to this show! Coffey has a new dedicated fan!!
