Definitely The Aquabats! A true So-Cal band that tours the US, find them at theaquabats.com
The lead singer, Christian Jacobs, is the creator of the new Nick Jr kids TV show Yo Gabba Gabba! and has amazing talent. He should be a guest/guest band. Keep up the great work - love the show!! |

They're definitely influenced by devo; the dress as Super Heroes, and they're music is synth heavy rock and family-friendly, I think they're great because they make you smile. |

Here's a name to add to your list of upcoming guests, country singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Megan Mullins. She's with Broken Bow Records and her management is Stan Moress of the Consortium, both in Nashville, TN.
Megan's working on her third single for her forthcoming debut album, so you have some time to work her into your schedule before it's ready for it's network debut. Megan's a beautiful young woman (almost 21) who's a classically trained violinist (starting when she was 18 MONTHS old) turned country fiddler. She plays 10 instruments (currently: violin, mandolin, guitar, piano, and banjo... plus her past in the youth symphony: viola, bass, accordion, clarinet, cello). She's spent the last 3 years as a member of the house band on USA's Nashville Star. I could tell you that she's the most talented woman in country music since Barbara Mandrell, but why take my word for it. Here's some video evidence for ya... Her listing on YouTube (several videos of her and her brother, Marcus, at a county fair in Masschusetts earlier this month, plus a few vids of her playing fiddle with the Nashville Star band during regional auditions for the show) A Google video of Megan and her band in Nashville in 2006 (a 20 minute performance) And if you don't believe me that she started so young, watch the "Childhood Footage" video on her label page. -------------------- |

Country Music Superstar Joe Nichols released his 4th album Real Things on August 21, 2007. The reviews are coming in calling Nichols' Real Things possibly Country Music Album of the year!
Associated Press Review: Joe Nichols, "Real Things" (Universal Records South) Joe Nichols fans who may have felt his last album, "III" failed to follow up on the promise of his first two can rejoice in "Real Things." Nichols is back to country tradition with the best album of his career and probably the best country album this year. The singer-songwriter turns mostly singer on this CD _ putting a pen on just one of the 13 tracks _ but picks a selection of tunes that underscore his memorable baritone and give him words he delivers well. The CD's first single, "Another Side of You," is an excellent combination of vocal performance and largely acoustic accompaniments _ and still isn't the best song on the album. "My Whiskey Years" is Nichols at his vocal best in a country-bluesy tune, but as Nichols followers know, he tops out on the ballads. "She's All Lady" combines him, a steel, a fiddle and guitar in a traditional weepy sound. Other tracks, like the title song, add a dobro for some more country roots sounds that previous Nichols CDs have forsaken. The words are memorable, the tunes are outstanding, the arrangements are top notch. But Nichols' interpretations put him in a league with the best in the business. CHECK THIS OUT: Nichols takes a big break from his ballad-oriented album with "Let's Get Drunk and Fight," a rocker about a guy who's gone cold sober and a girlfriend who's just gone cold. Listen to a fine backup vocal by Morgane Hayes. Who? A singer-songwriter whose songwriting includes Carrie Underwood's "Don't Forget to Remember Me." |

Please bring Country Music Superstar Joe Nichols on the Tonight show.
Jay, You'll not only love listening to Joe sing, but you'll LOVE Joe's hilarious sense of humor. Joe is a country music superstar that has developed a stage presence that draws audience participation as he shares not only the gift of his deep, rich baritone voice but his sense of humor and comical facial expressions with his audience. Joe’s performance keeps his crowded audience on their feet and girls climbing fences to get closer to this four time Grammy nominee. Joe Nichols has been called the Elvis of Country Music, sending girls into screams and squeals just by running a hand through his thick black hair. The gender of Joe's fans and audiences is heavily weighted to the female gender, however more young adult males and men are also being drawn to Nichols' humor and drinking songs. Female fans are very conscious of Joe's stage wardrobe, especially sleeveless t-sirts and torn jeans that send them swooning. However, Joe has proven time and again that he's more than just a pretty face. Joe is a talented traditional country singer and performer that deserves to be taken seriously for his musical talent. Joe's talent has a wide range from party songs like "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" causing fans to throw their fists in the air cheering, to a tear jerking ballad such as "I'll Wait For You," that causes many to tear up. Both of these singles are on his gold certified album III. You know Joe Nichols' is the Real Thing, the name of his 4th album released 8/21, as he shares his true feelings in each of his songs. Joe's genuine emotion expresses not only through his amazing voice but also through his emotional facial expressions that conveyed deep feeling and sensitivity while singing a sad love ballad touching his audience as he sings from his heart. When performing one of his single from his album III, "Size Matters," Joe ends the song yelling out to the audience, “Size Matters…isn’t that right ladies” following up his comment with a shocked open mouth expression that sends the crowd of lady fans into screams and cheers. Joe's deep baritone voice, sense of humor, good-looks and dedication to remaining true to traditional country music continues to draw bigger crowds of fans to his shows. The respnse of country music fans to Nichol's release of Real Things has promises for an exceptional and promising future filled with award nominations boosting Mr. Nichols' career to the level equal to his amazing vocal talent. |

His newly released album "Real Things" is flying off shelves with the speed of a runaway train!!! This album is simply amazing and leaves me searching for the right words to describe the range of emotions evoked from listening to each single-worthy song I listen to on the cd!!! Please consider inviting Mr Nichols to your show to share his music about REAL life with REAL people from newly released "Real Things" !!! |
