Country Music Superstar Joe Nichols released his 4th album Real Things on August 21, 2007. The reviews are coming in calling Nichols' Real Things possibly Country Music Album of the year!
Associated Press Review:

Joe Nichols, "Real Things" (Universal Records South)

Joe Nichols fans who may have felt his last album, "III" failed to follow up on the promise of his first two can rejoice in "Real Things." Nichols is back to country tradition with the best album of his career and probably the best country album this year.

The singer-songwriter turns mostly singer on this CD _ putting a pen on just one of the 13 tracks _ but picks a selection of tunes that underscore his memorable baritone and give him words he delivers well.

The CD's first single, "Another Side of You," is an excellent combination of vocal performance and largely acoustic accompaniments _ and still isn't the best song on the album.

"My Whiskey Years" is Nichols at his vocal best in a country-bluesy tune, but as Nichols followers know, he tops out on the ballads. "She's All Lady" combines him, a steel, a fiddle and guitar in a traditional weepy sound. Other tracks, like the title song, add a dobro for some more country roots sounds that previous Nichols CDs have forsaken.

The words are memorable, the tunes are outstanding, the arrangements are top notch. But Nichols' interpretations put him in a league with the best in the business.

CHECK THIS OUT: Nichols takes a big break from his ballad-oriented album with "Let's Get Drunk and Fight," a rocker about a guy who's gone cold sober and a girlfriend who's just gone cold. Listen to a fine backup vocal by Morgane Hayes. Who? A singer-songwriter whose songwriting includes Carrie Underwood's "Don't Forget to Remember Me."

Saving Verona would be SO cool to be on the show. They are a very fresh EXCELLENT band from colorado. Very young and talented. They have the feel of The Ataris to them. They just need to get their big break!!!!

Just for fun as it is new opportunity, the winner of the BIX-Capitol records contest....Josh Engel. It was an online contest for Country singers.

Wow Marilyn! What an amazing letter! I couldn't have said any of it better!!! Joe Nichols is also at the top of my Musical Wish List for the tonight show as well!! His newly released album "Real Things" is flying off shelves with the speed of a runaway train!!! This album is simply amazing and leaves me searching for the right words to describe the range of emotions evoked from listening to each single-worthy song I listen to on the cd!!!
Please consider inviting Mr Nichols to your show to share his music about REAL life with REAL people from newly released "Real Things" !!!

I'm glad you like it AmyAnn. I think Joe Nichols would be an outstanding guest for Jay to have on the Tonight show. Joe has just released his 4th album, Real Things and they're flying off the shelves as you said.

The album is incredible and shows the amazing vocal talents and range of emotions Joe Nichols shares with his listeners.

Please bring Joe on the Tonight Show!!!

Joe's new album "Real Things" is an AWESOME album! If you haven't picked it up yet, I highly recommend you so right away.

I still can't decided which one is my favorite from the new album, since they're all so GREAT!!!

I really like "It Ain't No Crime" especially the lines...

"If everybody minded their own business
They'd be too busy too worry bout mine
If I live the way I wanna live it

GOVERNOR MIKE HUCKABEE's ROCK BAND

The only Presidential candidate who has his own rock band - Capitol Offense and plays a mean bass guitar.. He's the funniest guy in the world - has been on Colbert and Jon Stewart twice and just this weekend on HBO's Bill Mahr show. In the Washington Post today, there is a story & video of him telling story of how he met The Stone's Keith Richards and issued an executive pardon for his prior traffic arrest & conviction in Arkansas. On the serious side, he is a huge long time advocate for arts & music education and discusses that on the talking head shows. BRING IN HIS WHOLE BAND OR AT LEAST HAVE HIM JAM ON STAGE Both he & Bill Clinton are from Hope Arkansas & remember the Arsenio Hall most viewed video of Bill on Sax?[/size] i live in Boston area now - Hope at least his band will play in New Hampshire again for the campaign
