Mintues Too Far (This band is from Bethany, Oklahoma - the band sparked to life when then 6th grader Danny Black (front man) and Kris Monier (drummer) started playing punk cover in a garage. They played talent shows and band battles, just for a little fun. Since then the band has gone through a few member changes, and even some name changes. The current lineup has been playing together since early 2001. They have gone on national tour, released their first cd July 25, 2006 adn opened for the likes of Yellowcard, Stick Shoes, and even Quiet Riot. The band packs an aresenal of catchy punk-rock n' roll songs that pound your stereo. Its a creative blend of influences a two member song writing style that gives them their distinct sound. This Band Bio was taken from one of their websites (MinutesTooFar.com). This band is so awesome all I thought of was the "Tonight Show" and how many times I've seen new bands on the rise on Jay's Tonight Show that I took time to write to you about this band. They draw a younger crowd (teens to early twenties) I'm 46 and I love them. If they sound like a band you would like to listen to they have several websites one being on myspace MinutesTooFar Several of their new songs are on their web sites that you can listen to. One of my favorites is Eat Your Heart Out. Anyway they truly are worth checking out. Hey Jay~ I've been a fan for years and love your show. You've had many a talent perform on your stage and you need to do your fans some justice and have Jody Raffoul and his band on your show. They are FABULOUS! Jody performed in Vegas and you only got to see his talents as a cover artist, give him a chance to show you what he can really do, his own music is what tells his story. He's a dedicated singer/song writter with an amazing soul and Jody performs from the heart. I've seen him through the years develop into an amazing performer and every show is more exciting than the last. Bon Jovi picked him as the winner for Battle of the Bands and Jody opened for them at Giant Stadium He's opened for many established talents. Jay you have to have JODY RAFFOUL on your show. Dave who? Tell us about some of the bands that you'd like to see on the show... I Have been a Fan for years, no other late night show interests me!!! However i question the Musical Guests and the Individual who casts some of these off the wall Guests, this is the only part of the show that really suprises me. Jay if the Show is Introducing this young talent, Someone doesn't have any idea what good talent is !!!!!!! Iv'e come across more good Talent in South Fl Clubs that outright Blow the Guests in the Show Away. In years past new Talent from The Tonight Show were Exciting and were in Demand after appearing on the Tonight Show. Your musical Guests are horrible!!! Please change your Talent Scouts!!!!! Love Your Show !!!! Hate the Musical Talent!!! I'm most likely not alone on this one!!!!! Oh!! and by the way Conan NA!!!!!!!!! can't see that one either!!!! |

Tell us about some of the bands that you'd like to see on the show... BLAKE O. A young man from Oklahoma, Blake O. was a visitor on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno about 8 years ago. Jay called him down to his desk before the show during warm up time, and did a mock interview with Blake O. in the chair next to him. Blake O. told Jay he was interested in music more than girls, (he was 16 at the time) and that he planned to someday be Jay's musical guest. Today, at 24, Blake O. has just completed his debut album "Buckle Down" produced in Paramount Recording Studios by Neal Pogue (OutKast, Pink, TLC, Stevie Wonder), and is more than ready to make good on his promise to come back to the Tonight Show as a guest. He is amazing and his music is a blend of country hip hop that is unique and quite infectious, undeniably has fame written all over him. Blake O. You'll be seeing him somewhere very soon and we hope its on the Tonight show. |

B L A K E O. (www.blakeo.net) or www.myspace.com/blakeoverstreet
This is a new artist - totally cool - and has some heavy hitters on his debut cd. Devin the Dude, Graph, Cherokee, Supersmith, Track-o-holics TMo, and Blake O. have come up with something that is going to be huge. Neal Pogue, Grammy winning producer of OutKast, TLC, Toni Braxton, Pink, Stevie Wonder, produces this album called Buckle Down and its great online, but would be awesome live. JAY - PLEASE BOOK BLAKE O. SOON!!!!!! |

I'm a grandmother, age 63 going on 16, because of Taylor Hicks.
Please, Jay, make this grandma kick up her heels and feel young again! P.S. I think you (Jay) should perform WITH him! What a scream! |
