KRodgers, I don't have any specific web addresses for VDO avatars. I'm sure a Google search would turn up some places though. Someone else here might know. PeachyBC |

KRodgers You can ask Keiko where she got those Goren and Eames avatars. I heard some pictures were made by some fans in a site where she used to hang out. She even has an animated Goren and Eames which is 'The War at Home', or some were made by her by using photoshop. Peachy had a good idea. You could google search for his pictures and make them yourself on photoshop. Also, I thought I saw Stefani's post that she'd be glad to share Vincent D'Onofrio wallpapers. Such a nice lady, willing to share. Wallpapers are not avatars. KR, just download a picture from a site you like and translate it into an avatar. The software is right there with the directions to make an avatar in your control panel. You're already changed your avatar half a dozen times, I can't imagine that you don't already know how to do this. Stop pulling my leg! -------------------- Real men come with real problems,

I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt condolences to anyone on this board who may have been affected by the tragedy at Virgina Tech.
If there is anyone here, my prayers are with you & your family. And for those of you who attend colleges & universities, especially away from home (like my two children do) please take care & be cautious. There are sick people in the world & no one is immune to danger. Yet, life goes on & we can't hide under our beds or pick up our kids & keep them under lock & key safe at home (even though we might). (**They have just released the I.D. of the shooter. He was a legal resident of Virginia from Korea. His name was Seung Hui Cho. He was 23 years old & a senior at Virginia Tech. He was also living in one of the dorms. No mention yet of motive, but he did target a young woman (his girlfriend?) as his first victim. Why he would return to the campus & massacre 31 more people is a mystery. It's also been confirmed that there was only one shooter for both incidents. Not to start a debate, but he was legally able to puchase two guns a few days ago with no waiting period. Talk about a need for gun control. ) |

My neighbor's 9 month old puppy got loose from her son when he was walking her. She was struck by a car and they needed to put her down last night.
If you have an escape artist dog in your family, please do yourself and your naughty pooch a favor and invest in a greyhound collar. Greyhounds are nicknamed needlenoses because of their long, slender head shape, off of which standard collars easily slip. The greyhound, or safety collar, was designed to be more difficult for the collar to slip off the dog's neck, and when a greyhound takes off at 35 mph, nothing is gonna stop them easily. You can google them to see what they're like. It's essentially built similarly to a choke collar, but without the spikes. You can get them in a variety of colors and Petsmart, Petco... carries them. -------------------- Real men come with real problems,

Dogma is in my netflix queue...but it's way down there. Have a couple other things to watch first. (Yes, most of them do have either VDO or Rickman in them. So I'm not slipping too badly.) Oh, and watching Rickman chew the scenery in Robin Hood just makes me howl. He was so obviously having WAY too much fun with the role. Love Rickman too, Sense & Sensibility is also a favorite of mine, love Dogma (hubby likes it for Salma) & LOVED Rickman in Robin Hood with Kevin Costner. He plays a delicious villian, doesn't he?

When I saw Bush speaking at Vtech, the first thing I thought was "man you're a hypocrite". He's going on about how sorry he is and how it's a horrible day for all Americans (and for everyone else), I felt like he was 100% in Politician mode. He was like a marionette getting his strings pulled. But then I've gotten this feeling from Bush before. I hardly ever feel like he genuinely cares.
Maybe this is just me though. I've always thought that there should be stricter gun control laws in the states and I think Bush should acknowledge that access to guns is part of the problem, and work at trying to fix some of those laws. (Watch Bowling for Columbine and it'll open your eyes). If this shooter hadn't been able to buy a gun, he may have opted to just kill himself. Or, he may have only gotten as far as killing or two people (which is still horrible) instead of all 32. Something I noticed was that whenever there were reports about the Vtech massacre, on every news station (American or Canadian) they went straight to talking about the war in Iraq and possible threats there. It almost seemed like those stories were trying to distract us from what happened in Virginia. Anyone else thought this too? I just thought it was strange b/c the news coverage about the war isn't as prominent on the Canadian stations as the American ones. (There's usually a few minutes then they move onto other stories)...but yesterday the Canadian ones had a lot too. I don't know, maybe I'm just rambling....and preaching a little. -------------------- A wise man never plays leapfrog with a unicorn.

QUOTE Mayor Daley here in Chicago was worse. He had a press confrence scheduled that day to discuss the Olympic Committee's decision. It was literally hours after the shootings, and he went off on a rant - actually screaming - about gun control and protecting our children. It disgusted me. |
