LOL!!!!

Something in your posts must have ticked off TPTB. So typically Peacock in the planning and execution..."We'll send Vinnie to take her out when she's driving to work; he'll be sure to make it look like an accident!...What's that? Her car weighs how much? Hey, who was in charge of research on this one?!"

I hit a peacock on my drive to work this morning.

Strike that. Reverse it.

A peacock hit my car on my way to work this morning. Is NBC trying to tell me something?

WHAT is a peacock doing in rural central New Jersey? And what is it doing flying across the road at 6 in the morning? Did it have something important to tell another peacock on the other side of Rt. 524? Was there a sale at the Pork Roll store? (Yeah, we have an entire store for just pork roll.)

I know that birds preen all day to keep their feathers in good condition. I know that THAT bird must have preened recently because of the greasy smudge it left on my windshield. Nothing particularly pretty about that smudge, mind you. No feather pieces. Just a big greezy schmutz.

And can we discuss that non-aerodynamic tail?!

AAWW man I thought Pennsylvania was the only state with the pork roll store!!!! Are Peacocks like Bees, if you kill one the others smell the scent and come lookin' for ya??? Ya might be in trouble!!!! Ok, here's what ya gotta do.......watch Hitchcock's The Birds. You'll see what their weaknesses are, and then you can forge a plan of attack!! If you need to relocate for witness protection, I know people, I can set ya up, Good Buddy!

I caught the last 10 or so minutes of an episode of E-Vets the other day on Animal Planet. There was a husky that had part of both back legs amputated. Don't know the reason because I missed the first part of the show, but they built replacement legs for her.

The doctors fitted titanium pieces into the existing bone stumps and then pulled down the remaining skin over the metal, like they were pulling down sleeves on a sweatshirt, and fixed it in place. She was fitted with "feet" at the bottom, was up and walking (true, not very quickly, but walking) the next day.

My dog was in the hospital for six days in the February from heck I don't ever want to remember, following exploratory abdominal surgery. $7500 later he's almost back to normal. Each day at the hospital cost $250 for meds and crate space. The itemized bill showed the cost of everything they did to him right down to $17 per staple.

Great googly moogly, how much would it cost to build replacement legs?!

Happy birthday to you, Rowe! Hope it's a phenomenal one!

And now, having seen Peachy's card, I am going to amuse myself during my lunch meeting by contemplating the reactions if I were to dye my hair purple.
