What gets my goat are pretty normal illnesses that are found among the prison/jail population. Not to mention HIV/AIDS; TB, etc. So, why should she get out for hers, unless we let everyone out for their illnesses?

Sounds like momma is part of the problem...throw her under the jail too!! laugh.gif laugh.gif

I don't know where this goes...so I think I shall put it in "OFF TOPIC!"

I have been watching Bravo tonight and have decided that I really like the show Semi-Detached! I am not the first I know, but just had to put my 2 cents in it.

I think the flirting between Goren and the Pharmacy gal is cute. I love seeing the jealousy from Eames when he is all about the gal...and did you notice that Eames' lines from BlindSpot "I am supposed to keep an eye on you" is also in this show?!

Alright, I am done just thinking out loud.

Don't ask me why, but tonight is the first time I noticed that in season 4 the opening credits show different pictures of Goren/VDO than the first three seasons. His are the only ones I think that are different.

That's the season that they changed the pictures of everyone in the opening close up shots. But, the close up of Goren used for the episode "Want" with Neil Patrick Harris kidnapping the girls and lobotomizing them, was him in a winter hat. For some reason they never used that one again.

The USA board really celebrates all members, and soom to be members, BD'S like it's goning out of style!! You can also ask Laurengoren about it as well! What do you members think? I know we have a calendar, but it doesn't recognize people that like to bust it out, no matter how young, or how old!!! Peachy asked me to post this to see if maybe you all would like to agree having a wonderful birthday thread, where everyone knows it's your special day!!!! How about guys, maybe Laurengoren would put her two cents in?? Tell us what you think, it might be fun!!! biggrin.gif wub.gif sleeping.gif ph34r.gif

A birthday thread was already attempted a couple of months ago. It was merged with the "Welcome to the Board" thread when it devolved into, "oh, wow, you're a July birthday too!" style comments. Kathy, the calendar link at the top of the board is intrusion enough for my taste and IMO that's what PMs are for. If I reveal things about myself via my posts in a thread, that's my choice. I don't think birthday wishes from the board are necessary.

This isn't the USA board. They have their things, we have ours. I don't believe that we need to recreate everything here that they do there, and vice versa. What is successful on one board is not necessarily so on another. If you want to have a birthday thread, join that board and birthday away.

I didn't mean to cause any trouble with this birthday thing yesterday, and I am so sorry. For everyone that I upset, please accept my apologies. I won't let it happen again.

No worries laurengoren! smile.gif

With Mod hat on, I'd like to mention something....What the USA LOCI board does is up to their members.

Each LOCI board on the Internet is different. We are not in competition with any other LOCI board. There is more than enough LOCI to go around for everyone. People are free to join as many LOCI boards as they like -- just please be mindful and respectful of the differences in all these boards.

This board discussed having a birthday thread quite awhile back and members voted not to have one. Strictly as a member here (Mod hat off for the moment), I'm not interested in having a birthday thread.

I am voting with Linda and Peachy on this one, Kathy. I understand the appeal, just not for me though. rolleyes.gif
When I was in High School, the thing to do was decorate lockers for people's birthdays. In theory this is nice, and it's a lot like having a birthday board. The thing is it is never fair, even to all of those who would want a big deal; not all birthdays are celebrated evenly. They can't be, by definition, that's humanity. For those of us like me who isn't into birthdays, it's a trial, it was a trial in High School. dry.gif I was all for getting the singing telegram every year for our homeroom teacher because that was different, but the classmate stuff was tiresome and more often resulted in tears than laughs.

Lauren, You didn't cause any problems, I asked Peachy, and sh told me to ask, and you came up because you mentioned it from the USA board in the first place, and I thought it was a good idea!! I'll forget you mentioned it!!!

Oh NS! Any good news is a port in the storm! The great news is it was doable! That is excellent! tongue.gif The scanner I have zero suggestions for, my Canon printer doesn't do anything other than print photos and docs.

Storms here on the east coast(at least PA) have been numerous and damaging this season so far. How has the weather been for you guys? Plants are happy for it!

Lots of threats of rain, 60% last night, but no actual rain.
