This guy could sell a refrigerator to the Maytag repairman. Especially if it was $19.95! And how's the new puppy? You were bringing him home this weekend, right? Is your husband over the moon with the happy?!

Yeah, Angy, I could just bury the bloodied shirts, but I really like some of them! And there are so many...

Anyone watch General Hospital? The character Sonny Corinthous(is a mob head) and this line was priceless
Head of a prestigious school: " Just who is Jason?"
Sonny: " He's my business partner, some people think he is a hitman who kills people that annoy me." Said with a completely deadpan expression.

Interesting problem with blood on shirts, or anywhere else really. You're not going to get the blood totally out of the fabric, even with straight bleach. The bleach removes the color from the blood, but the protein is still there. Leuco crystal violet, luminol, any of the presumptive blood tests used on scene will still show the presence of blood long after you thought you cleaned it up. Just get rid of the most damning of the evidence and remember to tape over the incriminating video footage at least three times to scramble the magnetic signature completely. wink.gif

Forensic housekeeping lesson done.

I do. sarcasm.gif Those scenes at Sonny's house that day were the funniest I've seen on there in quite awhile.

I love his character!! I think that Maurice Bernard(who portrays Sonny) would make an excellent guest star on CI, not necessarily as a mob guy.

Angel, Hullbound, I was a Port Charles girl, all the way...anyway, are either of you going to give the new 'General Hospital: Night Shift' a try? I am really interested. smile.gif

Hi Sue! Glad to see you posting. Hope you can join us more when the new episodes air. God, it's such a long wait, isn't it?

Had a fun trip into Manhattan yesterday. My daughter wanted to go in, so of course I had to do some CI related things! We went on the NBC Experience Tour. It was great fun. I volunteered to do the weather with a real teleprompter & an actual weather board. It's much harder than it looks! I had everyone laughing, my daughter got a kick out of mom entertaining the crowd. In the store area, she insisted on buying me a Criminal Intent T shirt (it's really nice, very soft & well made).

We went down to Chelsea, just to walk around & see the area. Went into Chelsea Pier, but it's impossible to really see the studios. We did see the Law & Order Way street sign that is posted on the little side street that leads into the garage.I spotted a huge black Escalade idling by the studio, but couldn't see the driver. biggrin.gif

Grabbed a bite at the Chelsea Street Diner, a great place for affordable, tasty food with generous portions. Remember reading about it on Jason's blog. I swear, it looks exactly like the diner they shot the breakfast scene in Stress Position. We sat in what looked like one of the the tables they sat in, by the windows.

So much of the area looks familiar, as if it was used for either the mothership or CI. There's a little kiddie park there, that looks almost identical to the park in Privilege. There's also a small vacant lot between two old brick buildings, smack in the middle of a side street, that looks so much like a NYC crime scene, it's not funny. Put a dumpster in the corner and you're set!

Spent the rest of the day in Central Park, so beautiful. smile.gif

Hi Donna!
So glad you got into the city and ate at the diner where HE ate! How cool ! I have been trying to log on for a few days and answer your PM. Yesterday, I got on, but when I went to send my reply, it disappeared ! I'll try again now. Wish me luck!

Mari

I have seen the first episode of Night Shift and the jurory is still out. The timeline of the show doesn't come close to matching the timeline of General Hospital. Jason is out of prison on Night Shift, but in Penntonville on GH. There is no mention of his angst girlfriend Sam McCall at all, or the recent kidnapping of his son(who was returned).

The whole feel of the show is drastically different the GH, not sure if that is a good or bad thing yet. I am curious to see if these characters are prominent on Night Shift how they will explain their absence on GH, especially since they are involved in huge storylines right on the mothership.

We'll have to see.........

The two shows are supposed to be totally separate. Kind of like parallel universes. Honestly, after watching the 1st episode, the only thing I really liked was the new sets such as the roof and the outside of the emergency room. I suppose because there are new characters I should reserve judgement for a couple of episodes.

Since LOCI is moving to Bravo, why can't there be a Bravo board? Just wondering.

LOCI isn't moving to Bravo. The new season will be shown on USA, which already has a board. The re-runs have been on Bravo for years. I don't know if there is a board on Bravo or not. They may reserve that type of thing to their shows that are orginial to that network.

The humidity has been so high of late, I've decided to give up life as a mammal, sprout gills and attempt to absorb oxygen through the heavily moisture laden atmosphere of New Jersey in July. Either that or breathe through a sponge.

So with all of this moisture floating around me and coursing through me, what with staying hydrated and all, why is my skin still so dry?!

Because of the sweat on sweat thing going, you are actually more dehydrated! That means that the water park inside is drying up. Be sure to sip water ALL day. The norm is about 8 (8oz) glasses of water a day, with the heat it should be more than that. I know you pee more, but it is worth it. You internal body is also absorbing more fluid to keep your electrolytes in check.

Also the skin thing is because the contant perspiration is messing with the balance of oils on and in your skin, add on the drying effects from the sun.

Adding mint, or lemon/lime to your water makes it a little better than plain. Any drinks with caffeine, sugar, or alcohol actually help to DEhydrate you.

And the breathing through a sponge thing?

Jeez, I love this board!

I would hope that at least it was a new one! Groddy!
PA isn't exactly a desert either. Thanks to all these new developments that tear down all the old trees, it's only getting worse with the humidity.

I suppose the only good thing the sponge would be is if you were in a fire, it might filter out more than a towel? Of course I wouldn't recommend searching high and low for one to test the theory! tongue.gif

Thank you guys! tongue.gif I missed the start and I wondered if I should check it out. I think I will watch what I recorded and I will give it a chance. Because of what you've said I'm not going to be watching it saying "What? What's going on?" You have saved me much agita. I am still flummoxed that they have made it "GH The Parallax View" however, I can suspend belief with the best of us. happy.gif
