You know what's more frustrating than the fact that the game has -short of a miracle- been lost within the last 4 minutes? The fact that it just took about 10 f-g minutes to get on the board to post about it!!! Kick a b'tch while she's down why dontcha? ...and in the time it took to type this - iiiiit's over

<sigh> Well, I'll definitely be pulling for Da Bears in two weeks.

QUOTE
For me, I get sooo involved that I can't take it when they're losing, that's the main reason I stopped watching sports. I get soooo mad and yell and yell. I'm nuts, really nuts. I mean I don't really care so much if they lose, it's just when I'm watching that I get soooo into it that I can't help myself.

I hear ya. My neighbors are almost certainly well aware of all my sports team affiliations, and my family knows better than to call or come over when NASCAR's on. I also get violent, yell, kick, throw, and pound things.

QUOTE
We'll just work together, you guys keep Goren, and I keep Vincent. I think that's a good plan.

Deal. Frankly I'd rather have Goren, since he's pretty d@mn near the perfect man, and not even VDO could live up to that.

(haven't changed the channel yet... on whatever this is following the game, the kidnapped/dead artist's loft is the same one from The Ring... Looks like it's "Missing", which is what I'll be from the show once I finish typing [ba dum tish!].. Another, but much more annoying, thing I noticed in the opening shot - THE USE OF A CONTEMPORARY SONG [30 Seconds from Mars] INSTEAD OF DIALOGUE AND REAL DRAMA [like how i held back from using the word 'hack'? yeah, that was nice of me, eh herm] STOP FORCING US TO ACCEPT THE DUMB SH'T FROM OTHER NETWORKS' SHOWS!!!!! *gah'dammit* okay... now that that's done)

I second that emotion... Ironic how some people think there's something freakishly wrong with him. Guess there's no accounting for others' perception of what truly human reality is...

Well, now, there's our new thread to liven up the joint during these rerun-filled weeks of drought. "Is Bobby Goren a Freak or the Perfect Man - and why."

Naydi - since you've been such a good girl, do you want to do the honors and start the new thread?

Ok, I keep editing this comment, cause I don't get why you would write that when we were joking around. Did I miss something? Plus I love the character Goren. Who said there was something freakishly wrong with him? I went to bed, then woke up and none of this is making sense. So now I'm gonna go back to bed and maybe when I wake up this will all make some kind of sense to me again. blink.gif

Cvl: I don't know about starting a thread about that cause from what I have seen, everyone here loves Goren/VDO/His shadow and everything else about him or his character. Plus Rowe just deleted a VDO thread, and we already have one dedicated to him. Although it's not my decision either way, so go for it if you want. You've been here long enough to know what would work and what wouldn't. smile.gif

Sorry your team didn't win Naydi.

No Go Joe, eh? Just read the results of the game. The Bears are nice, too, though. Go Chicago.

Hello bwalter, how are you? What time is it over there now?
I see you poking around below it shows your name now.
I guess it's hard for you to keep up to everyone's schedule since you're so far away. I noticed you on late the other day as well.
So how long will you be gone? When are you comin back to the U.S.?
Vurtgirl smile.gif
Edit: Well that's a waste. Everytime I see someone I wanna say hi to below, by the time I post my message, the person's gone byebye. sad.gif Oh well, hello b for whenever you get back on then. Hope all is well with you.

Hiya vurt honey. The signed-in thing below might be confusing, because I never sign out. Too much effing trouble logging in, logging out - I mean, so much time wasted on technicalities when one should be wasting time posting.

Look, I believe I have a wager that will please everyone in the fantasy game, including the mothers of Goren babies and the owners of mainlining pink punk ponies and the would-be Vincent huggers and ... well, the rest of you. I am above all these games because I am Goren 's baby's grandmother as well as Warren's mother-in-law.

If I win (whatever the bet is, and I've long since forgotten), VDO has to kiss Goren. Is this not an elegant wager?

random comment inspired by Lazarus Long:

The network is being paid a lot of money to entertain me from the pockets of those hoping to get mine. It's only common courtesy that I let them know how close they've come to actually succeeding.

Sorry your team didn't win Naydi.

Sorry if we confused you, vurt. A lot of critics and people who don't watch CI say that they're turned off by Goren's charcater because he's so odd or such a know-it-all, or...well, a lot of the endearing traits that we like to call "quirky". Since so many of us find him attractive for a variety of reasons, while so many other (normal?) people thinks he's just weird, I was proposing a thread where we discuss the reasons we think Goren is so great. In other words, what draws us to the character, and (for us ladies) more specifically to Goren as a man.

I personally think VDO has found the right balance of traits that make Goren a nearly perfect man, and that's why I like him. I would be more than happy to expound on this in great detail, if anybody else wants to join in and make a thread of it.
