No rules are actually carried out in the world of Conan. wink.gif

Reading through these posts, I'm saddened that I've gotten so out of the loop. I loved being involved in CoB.net and such. Doing things with websites and comedy, esp. LNwCOB, is much more related to what I really want to do in life than what actually takes up my time: my wonderful job as a tax secretary.

Does anyone know how much time they expect moderators to put in? I could put in probobly an hour or so per day. But maybe they are looking for people who could check in throughout the day. I would only be able to come on in the evening.

NEway, anyone heard back about it or anything? Also, u all still planning the trip to NY in the summer??

They PM'd me about it and said they wanted to chat on the phone. I told them any time after 5:30 that day. I haven't heard anything... sad.gif

Abby, you totally should PM the admin about it. I got a PM saying she wanted to talk to me and Sev on the phone about being mods, but she hasn't called us yet. As far as amount of time they want mods to put in, nothing was specified, but checking in once at least every day or two would be fine, I'd imagine. All the new posts are a lot to keep up with, even for 2 people, which is why I think there should be at least 2 mods... and 3 would be even better.

Would that be to become the Late Night Ticket Hotline B*tch? Or better yet the person who creates an internet ticket booking system? Cause that's my personal goal, and I would love to have an assistant. biggrin.gif

Ah they ring you to talk about it. That would be why I cant apply. NBC are far, far too poor to be able to phone all the way over to Ireland! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
Maybe if they were still the number 1 network they could afford international mods! laugh.gif

You don't HAVE to marry an American, you can emigrate and get a green card (I think they're called "resident ailens.") But, if marrying Demetri or Andy is a possibility...well, maybe you SHOULD marry an American! laugh.gif

Yes I COULD emmigrate, but marrying Demetri or Andy would just be so much easier! laugh.gif
I think that should be the goal for our trip to New York this summer (after Late Night of course) find either of those guys, make them fall in love with me and organise our wedding! laugh.gif

I think it's strange that you didn't get a PM. I mean, your posts aren't any worse than anyone else's, plus you have moderated a forum before. I'll have to talk to that admin. She's gonna love how freakin cocky I am, telling her how many mods we need and who they should be. laugh.gif

I'll apply and see what happens! Yes, I would definitely love the job of being in charge of LN tickets, particularly making an organized 'black & white' system of ordering them. I was sooooo frustrated with the system when I was trying to reserve tickets last spring. It was horribly confusing. I think there should be one link on NBC.com for tickets to shows at Rockefeller Center and every show should have the same reservation system. I know that SNL has some sort of lottery system, but I've always hated that. I think the SNL audience should be filled with nothing but fans and said fans should be able to reserve tickets, however difficult they may be to get. I hate the fact that most of the SNL audience is made up of network VIP's. They don't even get the jokes half the time!! But I digress.... yes, that would be a dream job for me, LNG! If you ever get hired at ol' Rock Center, be sure to put in a good word for me!

A biggrin.gif

Hmm, a Catholic wedding? Has the Catholic church started allowing the marriage of multiple persons to each other at one time yet? If not, we may have a problem.

I know, their current "system" is such a pain in the @ss. And Sev called everyday for like 2 months straight to get a ticket for Thanksgiving and missed the 1 day they booked that show, which is totally unfair. They're in desperate need of organization and innovation in ticket booking, and I think we're the right people for the job. cool.gif

I'm STILL calling everyday trying to get tickets for Feb. It's such a pain in my @$$! The internet never has anything, and I have yet to actually speak to a ticket agent because they seem to book tickets for like three random days and then shut it down for three weeks. What exactly do those ticket agents do all day if not accept my reservations for tickets, I ask you? tongue.gif
My luck, the one day I can go is going to be during a Late Night break. I'm going to be so angry. mad.gif

i wonder when we should try to start getting tickets for july. gosh, that would suck if we went all that way and couldn't get in to see the show. sad.gif

I'm going to be crushed if I can't get tickets for Feb. Not even tickets plural, I just need one! I can stand in the back if I have to! I promise I won't draw any attention to myself or bother anyone in any way. I know that once the show moves to LA, I'll NEVER in a million years see it. Because I love Late Night, but not enough to go to LA for them. Driving 15 hours one way to see them in Chicago? I would have done that. Setting foot in the h.ell hole that is LA, especially when I would be burned at the stake for being a woman with :GASP: BROWN HAIR? Not on your life.
I wanted to go on Thanksgiving SO badly and I called every flippin' day.The ONE DAY I didn't call, they booked for Thanksgiving sad.gif
I'm calling now because this one Monday in Feb is the only weekday I have off until the end of May. As of today they are booked through Jan 12 and are not booking tickets at this time. sad.gif

there are benefits to being just a peon.
Ya, volunteering to be a mod feels alot like selling my soul to NBC.com. If I'm supposed to enforce the rules, I'm probably going to be expected to follow them. dry.gif

I hope you get a ticket, Sev!

That would be funny. I mean, really, how many people can say "Conan, I'd go to the moon for you"? Besides the psychos on this message board, I'd have to think not too many.

And one of my boyfriend's aunts lives near LA, and she was in town yesterday, and she actually made it sound really nice. (Sev, she's Italian and she has brown hair.) She's so hip, I think mainly because she lives in California. I'm actually a little jealous of her for living there (California - not necessarily LA). We're probably going there to visit her soon so I can report back to y'all on how horrifying LA might be.
