we're not retarted... i'll watch the show even if you dont say 'save the chearleader save the world' or 'are you on the list'.. i watch the show because its a good show. so when this 'are you on this list' phase is over.. just end it. viewers will appreciate you more. catch phrases is a crutch that this show just doesnt need.

I'm a little sad that I wasn't "On The List" also.

Sorry, not intended be a flame, I hear ya and I agree. The show already has a huge following without all the gimmicks.

I am still kinda fond of
"Who's you're Daddy?"

They may not neee the catch phrase for you because you are already hooked. The catchphrases are for those that haven't seen the show or maybe have just seem a couple episodes. It's called marketing and there's not a thing any of us can do about it.

It could be much worse:

"dont be a zero...check out HEROES!"

"Clair's Despair...only on HEROES!"

"HEROES...not as crappy as most NBC shows!"

"This weeks special guest on HEROES...Howie Mandell!"

"Save the Cheerleader...Nothing happens!"

Ok...so these examples sucked, but you get the idea.

Actually; it's kinda fun to whisper "save the cheerleader, save the world" at the office on Mondays-everyone in my shop shares two things in common: we hate mondays 'cause of work and we love mondays for Heroes.
Also, my boss is planning a random drug test soon (insurance purposes) and I can't wait to skulk aroun here saying "Are you on the list?" "The names on the list are of GRAVE importance..."
AHHH...simple pleasures...

Thanks for keeping me out of the slammer, HEROES! i owe you one!

Perhaps, then, you should learn to use correct capitalization, punctuation, and know that it's spelled 'retarded', not 'retarted'.

They become catch-phrases because everybody says them, not the other way around.
They don't design them specifically to become catch-phrases, it just works out that way.
If you hate it so much, don't say them.
