But if he shows up tonight, he must be shunned! I'm not contributing to any conversation he tries to engage in when he should be studying.

This is true. We might have to enlist the Mods assistance for that one.

Or we could keep making cracks about him in the Kiddie Table or Beer Me threads.

QUOTE (Darth Schrute @ Apr 28 2007, 03:16 PM) *
My intent behind this is to see who our actual competition is and determine whether or not there is a day of the week when their numbers are thinnest. I've only been running it a few days now, but by the time the Season Finale rolls around there should be enough data to influence your decision on a strike date.

I don't know if that will work with me, Darth. There's no rhyme or reason to my baby's schedule. Some days he sleeps and I can run around with my kids, other times I'm stuck sitting on the couch most of the day while he cries.
Do you have a formula for that variable? If you do, I'd sure like to know. wink.gif

Did you see that Oprah show on the different types of cries babies have and how you can tell what they want so they will stop crying? Yeah, I though it was bunk, too.

Sorry about the crying, muffy.

Sorry to carry the thread way off topic....

....it's been a long time since I had to deal with a crying baby on a daily basis. But I could tell the difference between certain cries. There's a different quality to hungry, in pain, tired and "I'm spoiled and bored so just stop what you're doing and pick me up" crying.

Alas, you have laid bare the weakness of my plan... I never could find the right mathematical algorithm for zombie mommies... wink.gif

Even if this data doesn't result in the perfect day of the week to strike, it will still provide me with a list of consistent Top20 posters to research further. Maybe I can figure out a way to... uhhh... distract them on the day of the battle... biggrin.gif

Yes, mine is definitely just the "I want to be held" cry. The moment I pick him up, he stops...until I put him down again. My daughter was like this too and it nearly drove me insane as a new mom. But since he's my third, I've kind of adopted the attitude of, "I know, babe, life sucks, I'm just helping you get used to it now."

yeah, when I am feeding the cat, I say "Say Please?" and she meows and after I feed her I say "Say thank you" and she meows. they are definitely different. Did you know cats meow at people, but not other cats?

Muffy, as for the baby cries, I understand that a mother would know her own baby, but I find it hard to believe some strange lady could figure out what is wrong with everyone else's baby. Hope he gets happy soon! And gets on a schedule.

I have no idea what this means. I just made it up on the spot and thought it sounded cool. Basically, I'm just saying that another Post War is coming, so be ready!!! More details soon....

OK, I will be on my cruise from June 17-24, so don't have it then. I want to get up to 3,000 during the next war.

Well, at least 2,500.
