I decided with all the recent drama re: the forum rules and the break, we could use a light topic. So I decided to start a "you know you're obsessed with Heroes when..." thread, after making sure there was not one already.

So, here goes.

You know you're obsessed with Heroes when:

- You spell "hero" "Hiro."

- When you're really stressed, you half-worry an insane personality will emerge from you.

- You've read, written, and/or thought about writing Heroes fanfic.

- You've looked at, drawn, and/or thought about drawing Heroes fanart.

- You compare Heroes characters to characters from other obsessions.

- When a bruise, scar, etc. heals quickly, you joke that you can regenerate.

- You've had Heroes related dreams.

- You want to name your child(ren) after a Heroes character(s).

You're asking everyone you meet (people in line at the grocery store, the staff at the dentist office, your co-workers, etc) if they watch Heroes.

And even if they say no you proceed to ramble on about Heroes anyway.

I'm guilty of doing this. hahahaha

when every dirty car you pass in the parking lot gets decorated with the SG symbol...

when your office has a urinalysis and you pass by people saying "Are you on the list?"

when you actually try to stop time-
...and your soooo disappointed that it didn't work!

when your DVR has all the Heroes episodes under the "PROTECT" option

when you watch cheesy movies with your kids like "Racing Stripes, Ice princess, and Stick It" just because there are Heroes actors in them

when you still are trting to stop time-
...and now your just plain fed up that it didn't work again

when you mope around the house on monday nights because "your" show isn't on for 6-weeks

when you have actually tried to take the Polaris (pool cleaner) hose and 3 pool toys and tried to make the SG symbol in your pool

when you hum Heroes melodies in your head all day

Can't believe how many of those apply to me...

Here's one..

You walk around trying to imagine everyone with the top of their head cut off

Your coworkers are coming to you to get the "inside scoop"

You randomly yell out "Yatta!" just to see who gets the joke

You stare at a mirror in the hesitant hope that it your reflection will talk to you

-You join a Heroes RPG, and take it really seriously.

-You hope that Mohinder will come to your door asking about you (It hasn't happened yet...I'm still waiting).

-You have a dream, and it happens the next day, so you think you have a chance of being on the "List".
-You try endlessly to guess what your friend is thinking, in hope you have Telepathy.

-You become Claire Bennet's friend on Myspace.

When you watch all heroes episodes on your iPod almost everyday.

When you don't like any other tv show then Heroes.

When you try to paint when rolling your eyes back so it looks like your Isaac

Everytime your in N.Y you think of "Yatta"

The first thing you ask people on Tuesday is if they watched Heroes the night before.

When you only watch Deal or No Deal to see if there is a sneak peak for Heroes.

When you pronounce Isaac, Ezak.

When every bald black guy you see reminds you of the Haitian.

(worked realy well btw im from germany and even friends of mine that dont understand english that well are totaly hooked. Some have even started to "spread the word" even farther )

Another one:
You know you're obsessed with Heroes when you have 3 new episodes of Lost on your PC and you have to force yourself to actualy watch them

I actually bought a Katana after the episode where Hiro takes the fake from the museum, but mine doesn't look like Hiro's. I still hold it when I'm watching Heroes though...It makes me feel special.

Oh my god, I'm guilty of so many of these!

Ok, You know you're obsessed with Heroes, when you're posted over 450 posts, in just two weeks! (guilty)

Everytime you're near a loud clock, and you hear that "ticking" sound, you start to run like a crazy person.

You know you're obsessed when every morning when your girl friend asks you what you want for breakfast, all you say is "WAFFLES!"

You know your obsessed when everytime your at the ATM, you put your hand on it, hoping it will spit out money.

(if you have one,) You keep asking your stoner friend to "paint" something, then when it doesn't work, you yell out, "what does it only work with heroine?"

Lastly, you know your obsessed, when you keep hoping Future Hiro will show up, and tell send you on a cool mission to save the world. For a guy that can control time, he's very late!

OMG I AM addicted!!!!! Yes I have changed my Avatar in the LA Angels' Fan Forum to Hiro's picture even though I am Caucasian LOL!!

I also need new glasses and I am SERIOUSLY considering getting Horned-Rim frames!!

And yes I spend 3-4 lunch breaks throughout the week watching online episodes.

Have said to friends many times "Save the Cheerleader.... etc" and "Are YOU on the list?"

I can't believe how many of the already listed things I've done.

-When you've never been hooked on a TV show before, and have sworn yourself off online forums for life, but after one week of hiatus have been forced for some heroes interaction, and join the forum (Okay, so maybe that one's just me)

-When you go from no online time to three hours a day on the heroes forums

-When you find yourself talking in your head to the Mind Reader next to you.

-When you get excited whenever someone else mentions the show in passing

-When you say Hero, you roll the r to sound like Hiro.

I'll think of more later (which is probably another good indicator)

Oh... and also:

My glasses just broke, I got a new pair and contacts... The first day I wore my new glasses my friend remarked on how similar they looked to HRG's... I thought so too!
