Is there a standard list of symptoms because I've been told several times by my friends that I am addicted to heroes.
At first they thought it was normal; just a boy watching a popular television show. Then I the season finished but my craving for heroes continued. So I read all the Graphic Novels, and started going on the forum sites.
Eventually I started rewatching episodes, spending way too much time on heroes related sites and even bringing up heroes in everyday conversation. It went to the extent where my friend challenged me to not speak of Heroes for a whole day... I lost within half an hour.
Now they are starting to worry about me but I assure them I'm fine.
I told them I'm not addicted.
They responding by telling me that's what an addict would say.
I still don't think I'm "addicted" despite the the evidence my friends and family have against me. So how do you really know when you are obsessed? Is there like a certain moment? Or do you gradually fall deeper and deeper into it?

Here's just a list of things that might indicate you are severely addicted to heroes:

1. You have spent several hours in front of a clock with a very concentrated face, trying to see if you can stop time or move it backwards.
2. You yell YATTA! every time you accomplish something.
3. You wear a pair of Horned-Rimmed Glasses, even though you don't need glasses, just to feel cool.
4. You have attempted to paint the future.
5. You have a pet dog and you've named (or renamed) it Mr. Muggles
6. Every time someone forgets something you say "The Haitian...", even though they have no clue what you're talking about.
7. You've poked/cut/scratch/injured yourself and stared at the wound expecting it to heal itself.
8. You draw the symbol everywhere.
9. You've injured yourself trying to fly.
10. You do the nuclear hand motion (the one Ted and Sylar do when they have the power).
11. You stare at people when they talk to you and see if you can read their minds.
12. You've run into a wall trying to run through it.
13. You try to "talk" to your appliances when they aren't working.
14. When you look in the mirror and pretend you're talking to an alternate version of yourself even though its just you and you know it.
15. You quote/make constant references to Heroes.
16. You tried to make a can of soda come to you using only your mind.
17. You've realized you don't have any super abilities but refuse to believe it and try anyways.

You go to New York City on November 9th to help stop the Exploding Man
You make sure you go on the 9th...not the 8th and not the 10th...
You flip out when you get there and you can’t find Kirby Plaza
You try to find Molly so she can tell you where everyone is
You look for the nearest sword shop and see if you can meet Hiro there
You walk around waving your arms around because maybe you’ll feel Claude and he can tell you where to go
You keep walking the streets, looking behind you every few seconds because, you know, Sylar could be following you
You give up, and decide to watch the sky, hoping Nathan will fly Peter up there and stop the explosion
You hide underground in a random basement, just to be safe in case the bomb does go off
You see a very bright airplane pass by and assume that was Peter
You go outside and check all the sewers for traces of blood...
