Two wounded police auxiliary officers present challenges in the ER. Neela settles in with Abby as she recovers, while Pratt and Bettina consider their relationship. Gates tries to get a patient on a drug trial, with Dubenko's help. And Morris is in a fug that not even a pretty woman can help.

10/11/2007 (10:01PM - 10:59PM) (Thursday) : ER DOCS RUSH TO SAVE TWO DOWNED COPS—When a teen wrestler comes in the ER with severe vomiting, Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) quickly tries to solve the problem only to find out that the cause is much more serious. While working in the ICU, Gates (John Stamos) tries to help a young kid with a deadly disease. Meanwhile, Abby (Maura Tierney) and Morris (Scott Grimes) jump in to save two volunteer cops brought in with gunshot wounds. Parminder Nagra and Linda Cardellini also star.

Decent episode overall. The Neela/Joe scenes were classicly funny. I can't believe Joe was walking. Dubenko's fascination with Neela is a little too creepy but I get the sense he will get over it just like he did with Abby. I liked the meditation session they had. Is Gates starting to mature and become a better person? I'm not sold yet. It seems as if TPTB are trying to change him over night. I'm glad to see Sarah back. Grady has a crush on Abby. What else is new? I hope Abby doesn't become the next Neela with everyone falling in love with her. Sounds like Abby is starting to get worried about Luka's absence. I can't believe Morris' dad died. So sad. But I'm glad we are getting to see a more serious and emotional side to Morris. I'm starting to like Pratt and Betina. Betina seems to be having a very positive affect on Pratt. You can tell he is becoming more of a wiser doctor/person than when we first met him.

Neela and Dubenko with the baby was adorable, though.

Morris had a great story... Abby had a nice story along with Morris (and Grady, lol). Great ep, can't wait for next week!

I'm glad they decided not to go that route with Dubenko and Neela and that he got confused with what he was feeling for her.

Scott Grimes owned this episode tonight because that scene where he talked to Abby about his dad dying and how his dad treated him broke my heart.

Did anyone else notice the nod towards Sam killing Steve? My hope was that her new cop boyfriend would bring her to resolve this killing... looks like I may get that wish yet.

It was a pretty good episode. Morris was great & loved his storyline!

Who is the actress that played the rent a cop seargent? She was on some other show, but for the life of me I can't think of what it was. HELP!!

I missed "Officer Down" my Tivo was full. NBC doesn't post episodes on their site like other networks and ER is not available for download at iTunes. How can I see this episode?

That was Mimi Kennedy. I had to look it up - it was driving me crazy!! She was Darma's mom, Abby, on Darma and Greg - I cannot believe how much she has aged!!!

WOW!!! Scott Grimes impressed the heck outta me last night! I agree with what was said earlier, he OWNED this episode.

As far as Gates goes, perhaps Moretti was right and there are things for him to learn in the ICU?
