Dave's barber? Dare we hope?
What's with the Letterman, Conan beards?

Dave's beard is coming off Monday .... on his show! How typically narcissistic of Dave to think we want to watch him get shaved in a barber's chair. However, the beard has served its comic purpose, we must move on because Dave is uncomfortable under that wooly rug on his face, also it makes his face look fat!
The horror!

Hey thanks for the update!!! -Shaving off his beard is a very smart move on Dave's part especially since the beard aged him tremendously. And it took away from the levity of the show by being so distracting.

I wish conan would do the same. I Hate big beards but understand why he wanted to grow one for the writers strike. I feel sorry for Aaron Bleyaert too for his discomfort in joining the solidarity in sporting the strike beard like Conan and Letterman. sigh.gif yuck!!! But at least, Conan's beard isn't white like Letterman's whose white beard reminds me of Grandpa Smurf (Letterman?). tongue.gif sly.gif

As much as I love Conan and support his cause, I dread the day he starts to resemble sasquatch (Conan?) from not shaving for months in support of the writers strike. Mercy!!! rolling.gif biggrin.gif blink.gif

Stephen Colbert (the Colbert Report) returns tonight -- Stephen not only grew a strike beard but has aged considerably since the writers' strike began. These questions are uppermost in everyone's mind: Does Stephen still have his strike beard and if so, will he wear it tonight? With Letterman's beard coming off tonight, what will Conan do with his beard? Will both Stephen and Conan keep their beards thereby not bowing to the Letterman pressure?

OMG LOVE IT. You are so on top of things Shena. BTW I had a feeling you were going to appreciate the grandpa smurf and especially sasquatch photo. LMAO

I had no idea stephen colbert grew a beard too. I may tune in just to see Letterman shave his white beard off and look at colbert's beard.

Letterman looked so old with it. Yikes! At least Conan's beard doesn't make him look old, just very odd lol and not cute like without it. sad.gif He looks kind of funny, with it being so long... I read Aaron Bleyaert and Jason "Chill" started the strike beard concept over at late night. What troopers! Aaron just rocks... both guys and Conan tried so hard to keep us smiling when Late Night was off the air. I so appreciated that.

Thanks for all the info from posting leno guesting on kimmel and he doing the same for leno. And letterman shaving... you keep us well informed about the late night news!!! Thanks again.

No, I didn't hear it, was it during the first 30 minutes? There is so much to watch, I got tired, I watched Stewart, Colbert, the news, Jay, Dave, Conan and Ferguson and it's all a blur rolling.gif It never rains but it pours. We went from nothing to watch to too much to watch. But I'll take your word for it -- sasquatch it is.

AWE! On the Late Night with Conan O'Brien's show site, someone very sweet posted that clip where Conan says the word 'sasquatch'.' It was in regards to the Hulk looking big and hairy in his younger days. rolling.gif sly.gif laugh.gif wub.gif Lots of pro-wrestling fans around here and they just Love Hulk Hogan!

I know there is so much to watch. I always sleep with the tv left on in my bedroom.

Love Conan, and how he supports the Strike. Check out this very funny Conan Bearded Strike Doll Figure I
found on E-bay. To find it, just type in conan beard on Ebay. Or click the following link;

Don't ask me why, but for some reason, when he used the flashlight during the light show tonight, I couldn't help but liken Conan to Warwick Davis in Leprechaun:

LNG-

I saw that too, but it could merely be a coincidence. Now, if my idea WAS what triggered that quickie, I'd just like the staff at NBC to know that I'm between jobs, have a decade of acting experience, and I love New York! rolling.gif

Seriously though, the clip they pulled of Conan's face on yesterday's show was probably the exact frame that popped that idea into my head. The resemblance really was there!

(And of course, I'm not so egotistical to think I'm the only one to have this idea wink.gif )

Sasquatch and orangutan also debuted on this board before they were on the show. But I'm also very delusional.
