When Parenthood premiered on NBC, I was really tired that night and only watched 10 minutes into the show, and was disappointed with what I saw.
However, I noticed the first episode was free to download on my Playstation Portable and I had quite a bit of free time over the weekend, so I thought I'd give Parenthood another chance.
20 minutes into the show, everything started to click. When I originally saw it on television for the first few minutes, I had no idea all of the characters were related. This surprise was really nice and made me wish I had a family like that, all nearby one another, supporting each other.
All of the characters really have a great connection, thanks to the amazing cast. The scene where Sarah Braverman says "Have a good day at school" to her daughter Amber and son Drew is classic. The ending of this episode left me in tears when Adam and Kristina finds out there's something wrong with their son Max. The Pilot is definitely a must-watch episode. Give the show a chance, it will grow on you

I've loved Namaste No More and Solace too though, as previously mentioned, they were so raw and revealing. The show has really found a good grounding for each of the characters now and is starting to move in a great direction. I don't want the season to finish!!!

I started to watch this show for one reason : Peter Krause. I loved him in Six Feet Under and started to watch Dirty Sexy Money because of him. I think he is an amazing actor. The pilot didn't click with me right away, but I felt I didn't want to give up on the show. I watched the second episode and that's when I was hooked.
Parenthood is about real life, real families. It is raw, it speaks the truth and most of all, it is not sugar coated. I can relate to many situations like dealing with a teenager girl, a child with problems adjusting and learning. Long after the show is over, I still think about it and how true it all feels. It's like someone can feel our frustration of being a parent and reach out to us and say you are not alone.
I feel for once I can watch a TV show that takes their fans seriously and doesn't insult our intelligence. It is touching, moving and uplifting.
I hope writers will keep coming up with great stories.

My favorite episode was "Team Braverman". I like this because it shows the realness of life. Life is not always perfect and certain challenges will come up but that does not mean you are not a family in the end. Families have to stick together and support everyone, like they supported Amber , Max and the grandma. It may seem like no one is there for you but your family will always be there for you.

My absolute favorite part of the episode was the ending, of course, when Adam shakes Steve's hand and says 'Whassup?"
I love Parenthood! It's a family obsession! Once it hits 10 O'clock, boom! We're all on the couch! It's great family time, because we can ALL relate to at least one character. I can't wait for season 2!
Thank you!!

]A good plotline would be to have Max overhear an adult referring to him having aspergers[/b]....I think children should be proactive in their healthcare. But, in a positive way.
Love the episode where Max doesnt want to take off his pirate outfit.
I have to say that my husband and I were so bummed they are taking a summer hiatus! We were joking. Great Now what are we going to watch on Tuesday. I am not a TV person and dont like to watch it.
