I really hope Ellen Degeneres hosts this season! She is so funny! It would be great if Will Ferrell could host! Jimmy Fallon and Chris Kattan would be good too. Maybe Jimmy will make an appearance when Queen Latifah hosts? I hope so!

I dont know who I want hosting, but I definitely know who I don't want hosting. These MTV-crowd, flavor-of-the-month, 14-year-old-girls-will-go-crazy-over celebrities. Or in other words, pretty much ANYONE who hosted last season. Justin Timberlake, Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan, the OLSEN TWINS. I thought this was Saturday Night Live, not TRL. Come on people. Get some REAL hosts, not celebrities yanked out of "Teen People".

They should have more host who aren't actors. Actors tend to focus on the acting aspect rather than the fun aspect. So lets have Johnny Mosely back and how 'bout a group show with the Strokes. Al Roker might pretty awesome too. I LOVE when he's on Conan. We, the audience, tend to have more fun when the hosts are:)

I agree with many of the suggestions already listed and threw in a few new ones: Ellen Degeneres, Denis Leary (he would be hilarious!), anyone from Will and Grace, Zach Braff, Matt Damon, Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Tom Cruise, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hugh Jackman....

No teens this year, we had enough of that last year!

I would personally love to see Tracy Morgan host the show. He is the funniest guy ever. My roommate and I live for the re-runs of him. Safari planet is absolutely gut busting humor.

I would love to see Johnny Depp or Drew Carey.....from Spiderman-2, I would love to see Tobey Maguire, though Kirsten Dunst or James Franco would be awesome, too.

I would love to see Jennifer Saunders from ab fab, host the show. I know she just worked with mike meyers on shrek, so it should be easy to contact her. And she hilarious. I think the show is great, but put more comedian guests on, I can't stand actors with no comedic tempo. Also get someone who's not a phonie, and a plus if they can get through at leat 60% of the show without looking like they're reading the cue cards. Last season was great by the way...

This hasn't been explored. But why not having former cast members host or be included in various skits, next season 2005-2006 it will be the 30th season.

i liked the idea about having clinton on, but it's sad to read that he didn't want to do it. but what can you expect from a guy who just had quadruple bipass surgery? but if it did happen, you'd have to get molly shannon, though she is unrecognizable after all that plastic surgery she's had! that or something is happening to her face and nose.

if i had to pick, i would invite an olympian, like michael phelps. it sucks to have a summer hiatus b/c you miss out on a lot of events and the athletes aren't honored. plus it's lame to backtrack with weekend update by starting out with something like, "This summer, Florida was devasted with a number of hurricanes. Scientists say that this was because of a higher high pressure radius in the mid-Atlantic, but really, it's just God telling Floridians 'DON'T MESS UP THIS YEAR'S ELECTION'." i don't write jokes.

or maybe get whomever will win an emmy tomorrow. or (i don't particularly care for him) jude law since he has about 30 movies coming out in the next few months.

as far as music guests (this seems to be a common theme in the group, although there this a separate section for it), i'm not up to par with current musical trends, so i suggest that you have like a battle of the bands kind of deal and let the winner perform on your show.

or you can have loren try to reunite the beatles again.

But I really want to see Matt Leblanc host. Not because he is my favourite or anything but because he is the only member of friends who hasnt hosted yet and that is a little bit of a bummer for him unless they offered and he said no.

Wow, I actually thought that Christina Aguilera and Lindsey Lohan were two of the funniest episodes I have ever seen...and I have been a frequent(read religious) watcher of the show since 1989...also have watched a million of the old ones. Aguliera's impression of Samantha on Sex in the City was dead on...and the Debbie Downer and Harry potter sketches from the Lohan episode were hilarious. Maybe it was the stars that made it great..but it was damn funny. Just my opinion...
To answer your question on who should host...I think alternating from old school (Goodman, Hanks, Baldwin, Martin) to new school (Ferrell, Sandler, Fallon, Ashton Kutcher, etc) would be the way to go. Again...just my opinion...
