did anyone else notice conan get uncharacteristically mad at the guy taking pictures of him last night? he was noticably irritated and was like "you're done" right in the middle of a bit. does anyone know what that's about?
Kneesock_Jones
yeah that was really odd.. he seemed pissed off.

He kind of laughed a little at him but he did seem a little irritated. I can't blame him though I would be bothered too if someone just ran up to take pictures of me while i tried to do my job. Conan is human just like the rest of us he cant always be as good as we know he is smile.gif

I think I'd get pretty angry too if people were constantly wanting to take pictures with me, or taking pictures with me. I don't think there is really anywhere he can go without people bugging him with crap. The only place where people can't take pictures, or where the only place people don't take pictures of him are in the studio. I'm sure I'd get a little angry too. I don't blame him. Didn't you see Conan's eyes always moving to a different direction during the bits? He was probably looking at the guy. My guess is the guy was taking pictures the WHOLE time he was there, until Conan told him to stop. It's a shame that jeff doesn't stop him.

He probably just wondered down from the aisle, but I didn't know you could take pictures inside the studio, never mind right by his desk. I didn't think he was mad at the guy though. And did anyone think the monologue was unusually long yesterday too? That's just my opinion.

I think many of us noticed that! I kinda felt bad for the guy, even if Conan was just kidding. He was obviously a professional photographer since cameras aren't allowed to be used in the studio. Think of all the trouble the guy probably had to go to just to get in there. And what if he was trying to get the perfect pic for his 'Why Conan O'Brien is the Funniest Man on TV' essay or something. lol poor dude! I just felt bad for him because of the way Conan reacted.

Maybe something happened over Conan's vacation with the paparazzi trying to get pics of him at a time when he didn't want to be bothered by 'the media'... Anyway I'm sure Conan probably heard about it after the show from his producer. Even if it was in jest, it came off kinda in a bad way. I think we'll forgive him though. wink.gif

I noticed this too. It struck me as a very odd moment from him. I would've thought they'd have edited out something like that because it seemed strange for him. He also seemed kinda short with the animal guy too though. Maybe he was having a bad day... hope everything's okay with him.

i think he was just a bit taken aback by the dude. Or maybe he has some kind of prejaduce against Asian Photographers.....

thanks for the replies guys. i just wanted to see if other people noticed it too and i guess they did. i've been watching talk shows for 10 years now and i've never seen a host get mad like that, which is surprising because you'd think this kind of thing woudl happen more often. they are just people after all and it's so hard to be happy and cheery every single day for millions of people. but i'm sure conan was just having a bad day, i agree that he seemed a little on edge with the animal guy too after. but yeah, the producer should have stopped the camera guy as he noticed conan becoming irritated.

That kinda shocked me. You get used to Conan's self-deprecating stage persona...I never expected him to act like a "star".

i know, he did seem a little irritated, but, hey, he's human just like the rest of us. although he usually proves to be an extraordinary human if i do say so myself. well, i've been to two tapings and they dont let anyone take any kind of pictures at all. so i dont think he was an audience member. you know how there is a pictures section on this website, and you see pics that have been taken during the show? maybe that guy was a photographer that takes the photos for this website; i mean he did seem to have a professional camera. i don't know, that's just my two cents.

I thought it was wierd to see him like that, but maybe he was just having a bad day like all of us do.

come on you guys! conan doesn't have bad days! he's a superhuman with no emotions. seriously, though, it was probably just some guy writing an article or something. oh, and the reason he was looking offscreen was most likely that he was reading the prompter/cue cards like he does with every skit. it's not like he memorizes it.
conanco1
i kept noticing conan loking to the side.i just thought he was looking at the producer but it was more furtherto his left so that seemed strange and i don't think it was the promter/cue cards because they usually their someone holding them on top.

I don't think it's fair to stereotype him as acting like a "star". If I had people in my face all the time taking pictures of me so they could make money while I'm working, having dinner, on vacation, etc... I wouldn't handle myself anywhere near as well as he did, so lighten up! Imagine yourself in the public eye and show some empathy for the guy!
ABigRedHat
yea i felt a bit bad for the camera guy, cuz he was probably just doing his job, but i can usually detect when conan's in an off mood, and it seemed to be one of those days. and i dont think he liked that animal guy, either, cuz he wasnt that nice to him even the last time he came.

Come on! He's a pro. And what he did with this guy was very unprofessional.
Don't get me wrong, I love his show. But this guy who's getting mad at the picture taking guy wasn't the entertainer Conan O'Brien.
