I understand how eating gross things can get people's attention, and I also understand how driving cars under semi-trucks can get a little uneasy --- however, I also feel that Fear Factor can do a better job of scaring people.

I was thinking of a Haunted House bit (not actually haunted) --- but just for the contestants to go into a building, and overcome obsticals in near pitch black conditions.

Going through a section of water in the basement about 5 feet deep, full of Goldfish (would feel crazy sickening in the dark), to push through various sections of slime and bugs, to get bonuses if flags are found (bottom of water overflow, in a insect heap etc) and to ultimately get the junk scared out of them by making the last section a fall 20 feet into a impact suppression bag. (you truly would get a lot of screams out of that, and they will not expect it if you time them, and swear silence (not that they will help eachother out))

I just though you all should cover something that really scares us --- being alone in the dark and only knowing where we are going by feeling the walls, and seeing the moonlight. (this all would have to be done in night vision, but I'm sure you could pull that off?) And of course have pre-set lighting back with Joe, so NV would only be needed in the building.

I'm sure you'll get at least one person to quit if you do it right... and getting someone by fear is what the point is right?
