They weren't kissing and touching each other. They just said they were a couple in the beginning of the show and Joe made some Celine Dion jokes, and that was pretty much it. If you had missed the first five minutes of the show, you would have no way of knowing they were a gay couple as opposed to best friends or siblings. They were pretty nonchalant about it, you guys are just making a big deal out of it. Gays are a part of the population, and it's inevitable that they're going to show up on television (especially REALITY shows) whether you like it or not.
There have been over 650 contestants on Fear Factor, and I can think of maybe 5 who have been openly gay. A show where over 99% of contestants aren't openly gay really screams Gay Factor (unless, of course, you know the laws of statistics).

It makes me sick that you are so narrow minded and prejudicial. Wes and Rich are great guys, and if you would like to discuss the issue in detail, feel free to Email me directly. Keeps this off the message board

Easy with the word "[censored]" okay? If you knew what a [censored] was by defintion you know why it's really rude when referring to a gay person like myself.

who cares if they were gay. they didn't do anything wrong did they? wow gay people wanted to get onto fear factor...they did well. it's not fair if they just always have straight peeps on there.

I think the only real touching they did was when they lost and they walked off holding hands, like most couples do.

if they "did" kiss, the editors would probalby not show it since fear factor is rated PG or something like that..then it would be rated as 14 like family guy (just an example)

this post is directed towards dcmmiami and farside and anyone who shares in their views that richie and wes are slandering the brilliant and informative programming that was aired on tues. you, of course, have every right to your opinion, and i have no interest in talking you out of it. i would however like to POSSIBLY open up your views by considering this. you speak about your son being corrupted by richie and wes....i wonder if you considered the ramifications of your son seeing mindless, dangerous stunts and half naked women parading about and how that affects his development. ( i have no problem with the show...but if we're gonna call people out...lets do it) i wonder if you considered the ramifications of your son seeing/hearing his father spew hatred and toxic epiphets to two human beings he does not know, other than seeing them on an edited reality show. AND i wonder if you considered the fact that richie and wes are two of the most tolerant, bright, gentle, open minded, and thoughtful human beings who, i imagine just like you, have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, neices, and nephews whom they love and want to grow to be a positive part of society. i imagine they would be able to look past your hatred and hope that your son does not take on such characteristics....i wonder if you could, just for a second, look past the fact that they are in a committed, loving relationship and see that they are of no threat to you, or your son. just a thought.

I thought Wes and Richie were brothers before they said they were dating. and I had no problem that they were gay. I in fact liked them. and dude they wernt kissing or any thing like that come on this is like a PG show! but I think it should be changed to PG 13 just the stuff they eat and anyways like 5 year olds might get ideas.

I don't really agree with you entirely, but Fear Factor does need to do something to increase their viewers. There have been literally hundreds of stunts performed, there needs to be something done to create new ones. I suggest having a "stunt suggestion" section on Fear Factor's main page.
Unless they've already got something like that. Don't know, haven't been there in a while =P

Great to live in free USA, but some things can remain in the closet.

If you don't like the fact that gay people exist, perhaps *you* should remain the closet. I would suggest not going outside, not turning on the television, and not reading the paper. That way, you can pretend they don't exist.
