Wearing his NBC Olympic cap and looking like Death in Ingmar Bergman's "Seventh Seal", Conan rode across the stage in his Kienholz inspired dog sled pulled by a team of Kienholz stuffed dogs (now that's a Taxi!) accompanied by a song about "going to Finland, going to Finland, where there's nothing to see and nothing to do" .... Oh, the Horror!

Seeing there are a million posts about Tarja winning (we only need one) I think my post should be bumped to the top.

Uh-oh, Pernod, that 7th Seal reference is probably gonna get you in trouble with the Finns--wasn't Bergman Swedish or Norwegian or something?

Those big doll versions of Triumph were pretty cool, though. Think he'll bring them with him to Suomi?

Since there are not many wolves in Finland, the Russian wolfhounds won't be of much use. What Conan has to watch out for are eagles, lots of them in Finnland and multiplying (fortunately there are also lots of bears). The Triumph dogs may come in handy, they may be able to take out the eagles. Conan better keep his Olympic hat on, or he will be the cause of more global warming, as warned by Al Gore in last night's top headline.
Oh well, if the planet gets too hot we can always cool down with an ice col' beer. I'm already in trouble with the Finns.

I hear that. I even changed the number of post displayed to 40, and it still didn't make that big of a difference.

Hopefully all this will die down after Conan visits Finland and then leaves, never to return. We shall see.

They are now promising warmer weather for the weekend. Maybe God likes Conan. In Finland there is no saying there is no God at least.
All the children are taught not only Swedish but religion too in schools. I do not know if the school books have pictures of prophet mohammad like in sweden as I was not paying attention at religion classes and usually got 5 (second worst grade)

Now would it not be more clever to make quick laws to ban the pictures and then start a campaign to tell people about the religions and other fairy tales and tell them not to believe everything they read ?

It's not a good idea to try and cross the Atlantic with that sledge since there's no ice. But maybe Conan should tune his ol' Bessy Lou into airborne desk. I'm pretty sure the studio would let Conan have it for the winter break. After all, he's got the cool Nike outfit from NBC, that'll match the sporty look of the stream-lined desk. And secondly, he'd have something to show off in the street, unlike the case of Taurus in America.

Conan can and probably will wear what ever he feels like. The hole grew should have hats at least, it's guite coooooold in here, windy and... like you say: stuff.

There ain't too much to do in Alaska either. But maybe the main thing with is point is a point of view. Are ya abel to enjoy and have fun? Or are you a cry baby. In life in general.

With a good luck and with a little help Conan can have just a fabilous time in here, in Finland. It ain't too different here. It's guite like in Alaska or like in Canada. But if you are (like The Conan sure is) a brave little soldier, ya can have something really different. One just have to have unfunnel attitude.

They can have this finnish stand up fellow or lassie (what ever), it can be a suprice. It can be too finnish for american tv. But hey. Some risks you just must take.

And yeah, maybe God luvs Conan and the weather shall be cold as hell and the Sun will shine like in the Sun. I hope the humidity will be under 60, so the frost won't pite him so hard.

But mostly. I hope he and all his fellow Finland travellers shall have the time of their lives!

Conan should fly the desk to Finland and call it the "Spirit of Mochonna". He should take a Manx cat with him for a companion and when he arrives in Finland he will be hailed as "Lucky Chonnan" and given a ticker and confetti parade with green Irish beer and little clay pipes......... after that, he will be forgotten.

Book away from one school. Or one school said they will take away the books. One might be surprised to still find the books if one went there. Can well still be there. If I remember right (I still have all my school books, it is only 3 years ago I graduated, and will check later and in the case I remembered wrong, will write it here) my religion books as well as the teacher told us here in Finland that the muslims do not make or allow pictures of Muhammad and there was none in the books either.

Swedes are using the picture of Mohammad also as an excuse for attacking less racist organisations such as "swedish democrats" (than their state and parties such as "social democrats") and closing their net pages. Even the Swedes themselves are not safe from the rage of their S?po (security police which is ten times the size of finland's supo - which is a useless organization, but happily so)
