Does anyone know where I can download the theme song for The Office (US version) as a ringtone for my sprint phone??
ILuvHalpert
You can download the theme from Life in the Office - http://www.lifeintheoffice.com/the-office-ringtones/

You can go to www.3gupload.com and send it to your phone via a text message.
mandyray
Where is it on 3gupload???? I can't find it...
activeservo
where on the web site can you doenload the office song
durrty
The ringtone itself is on the first link:

http://www.lifeintheoffice.com/the-office-ringtones/

the second page I believe is supposed to be some kind of service where you can txt it over to your phone (if you dont have a cable or bluetooth that can get it straight from your computer)
My life is freakin complete! I can now play the Office Theme song (by the Scrantones) when my page loads. YAY!
LittleKidL0ver
Haha I love myspace, and I love the office, but if I don't have my music on there the people won't know how incredibly emo I am sad.gif *tear of the emo persuasion*
I have officially annoyed my boyfriend with The Office Theme. I log on to myspace quite regularly (good thing you don't know me so I can really sound like a dork), and I still dance to the song.
VietNamSounds_1
Yeah, I get eyerolls from all my friends when my phone rings 'the office' theme...
You're lucky. I can't get it through Cingular.sad.gif Unless someone can prove me wrong and THAT would be great.
VietNamSounds_1
I'm way too cheap to use my carrier's service for ringtones and such... Depending on the type of phone you have you can get a USB cable and a free program like Bitpim to manipulate your ringtones and wallpapers...

Also, if your decent with sound editing software, you can make your own ringtones from your mp3 collection, but admittedly, this stuff is somewhat technical and not for everyone...
I always thought I was really smart until people who know how to do everything come along. LOL! The thing is I could figure it out or just wait for Cingular to add the ringtone to their list...HHHMMM. I'll get one of our computer nerds to look into it.

Can anyone tell me where a copy of the theme song can be downloaded? I know it is a variation on the original song, Handbags et al. But I would like a copy of the new one, any help would be hot. Thanks!
I know how to get it on MySpace...
www.myspace.com/thescrantones
Not sure where else to go for it though.
ColCletus
Thanks! got it!
No prob.

I want to get "Mambo #5" as a ringtone.
Anyone else catch that is Michael's ring tone from "The Fire" episode?
Officebimbo
Think you can post the link to the song? Id love to have that on my myspace too! smile.gif
VietNamSounds_1
Not sure if you are talking about a link to mambo #5 or the office theme...

If it's the latter, you can get it here:
www.myspace.com/thescrantones
afidemonx336
Ok someone please please tell me what the beginign music is for the show i love that song and yeah really wanna find out what song it is
afidemonx336
wont work
VietNamSounds_1
Can you be more precise? What doesn't work? I just copied/pasted the link and it works for me...
afidemonx336
sorry but myspace wont load for me for some reason
it hasnt worked all day its wierd
VietNamSounds_1
That is odd... The band is called the Scrantones and they are (obviously) a local band. The theme was written specifically for the office and is not part of a larger song...

Hope that answers your question and the comp problems clear up...

Does anyone know where I can get a ringtone of The Office theme song? I have looked everywhere and I can't find it!
JimandPamRock
I've searched as well with not much luck. Most of the search results were for the UK version. I did find one site that does have the US version, but I think the site is based in the UK- it looks like you have to make an international call to get the ringtone. Personally, I think I'll hold out a little longer and hopefully Cingular will have one on their site soon. But If you want to try that UK site, here's the link:

PhxRocks
I got mine from the NBC Mobile link at the top of the main page. Every time I get a call I hear it and smile
ike32790
you can get it from here http://www.nbc.com/Mobile/mobile_store.shtml the only have it for AT&T/Cingular, T-Mobile and Sprint and sadly i have verizon so i am still holding out for verizon to get the theme song
JimandPamRock
How long is it supposed to take to download after you text it? I did it a couple of hours ago and haven't received anything yet. I guess I can try it again later, I just don't want to get charged twice.
angelalois
OK so I am totally naive and have never downloaded a ring tone. Do you get a charge on your phone bill? How do you pay for it? And like the person before me asked, how do you know when it's arrived?
VietNamSounds_1
It depends on your carrier. Costs are usually added to your bill.

However, if you are technically saavy, you can stick it to 'the man' by getting a usb cable for your phone and a free program (i.e bitpim) and manipulate your phone (i.e add wallpapers, ringtones etc).

I create all my own ringtones (including my office ringtone) by editing the MP3 files (with cool edit pro) and then adding them to my phones database, all for the one time cost of the USB cable (15.99)...

I am angry!! I tried several times and it would not download to my phone!!! what is up with that? Has anyone else tried? I know I am going to be billed for 5 of them since I kept trying!!!
Dinknflicka
Question.

Where did you find the ringtone? I'll try it and if I get it to work, i'll post how.

thanks
JimHalpertIsLife
haha
you said "Question" you dwight!
VietNamSounds_1
You can get the mp3 here:

Scrantones - MP3

Use a sound editor to resample it to the desired sample rate and mono. Use a usb to phone cable for your model phone and a program like bitpim to upload the converted song to your phone.
WaterKooler
I tried to get it here on the NBC site under shop and downloads for The Office. Let me know how you make out.

My wife loves that song...

I LOVE THE THEME SONG TO THE OFFICE AND I AM TRYING TO FIND A MUSIC TYPE THAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE IT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.
hollowayb
Somewhere between polka and a jingle.
rawjer
The theme song reminds me most of the band They Might Be Giants.

I would call it quirky, sing-songy indie rock, but that's still a pretty wide definition.
Newton_MA
a very pleasent harmonica/piano riff repeated

Does anyone know where to get a ringtone of The Office theme song??? I've looked everywhere...
afmo
dunno where you can find it as a ring tone unless you have a phone that is USB or SD card compatible and you can load your own. To get you started on the trail though, i do know that the U.S version song is call "The Office Theme" by The Scrantones, and the U.K. version is titled "Handbags and Gladrags" by Big George Webley.

If your phone has internet acess and the ability to send text messages then you can get the office ringtone. You need to find an area with 5 bars of service. Then you text the message NB118 to 62288. It then replies with a text message and you reply with the letter Y. The next thing that happens is you will recieve a "browswer message" with a website. You need to go to this website on your phone. From there it will automatically download the ringtone. The cost of this is $1.99 plus the cost of 5 text messages and some internet access. I have to stress that you MUST be in an area with very very good signal if you want to download the ringtone through the air.
edub76
Thanks for the tips. I've looked at some UK websites and have found it, but was unable to download. I'll try this.
Latinprincess
I got mine from the NBC website. If you go to NBC.com, click on Mobile, then click on the Mobile Storefront with skins and themes and scroll down to The Office Theme and pick a True Tone or Polyphonic tone, click Details to buy and it's $1.99. At the top of the page it'll tell you: ' To download your wallpaper, simply send the text message: NB118 to: 62288' Although it does say "Wallpaper", it is a ringtone. It was so easy! Enjoy it!
VietNamSounds_1
bah! make your own and put them on your phone yourself!

Question: Is the one you get from the NB118 deal the actual MP3 or is it midi?
scrantonbranch
I know this topic has come up before, but I'm too lazy to search for the original thread. I just got a new cell phone and I'm dying to get The Office theme song for a ringtone. Where can I get it?
Coffeeslut
yeah I can't buy it from this site because it says "your carrier is not supported with this campaign"....I have verizon....anyone else have an alternate suggestion? I have bluetooth.
