I at least see that I'm not alone in my disappointment over the series finale of W&G. For years, I have loved this pair and their special friendship. I was disappointed enough when they showed the two not speaking for two years (meaning they missed new parenthood together) but then for 18 or so years more? I mean, anyone who loves them like I did could not understand how two people who had this amazing chemistry and bond could cut each other out of their lives like that, regardless of the circumstances.
I felt so unsettled after that episode-- I really wish I hadn't seen it. It was such a fantastic show and this was such a terrible ending. I really think NBC blew it, not only for the show, but for the fans who felt like this fab foursome were also their friends.

the finale wasnt just for the fans but the cast and crew as well. it was also their finale too. if youve ever had a friend that you had great chemistry with and then all of a sudden not be friends you would understand the ending. you would want to know that you will be friends forever. youre focusing on the obstacle and not realizing that there was a happy ending.

i agree with you it was bad i guess we set ourself up for something great and what we got was that horrible ending.
