to you who hated the ending:
there are two types of fans. there are the ones who view Will & Grace as friends and family, and there are those who see it as a sitcom. the latter should just shut up. if you were upset with it not ending like a sitcom then you don't deserve to call yourself a W&G fan. what kind of a loyal fan are you if you don't care about these characters and how their stories end. it ended how all the real fans wanted it to end. we understand why they drifted apart and are happy that they stayed friends at the end. who are you to rag on the finale and call yourself a loyal fan? if you wanted to escape reality then watch something were you don't care about the characters. obviously you didn't care about will and grace, but then again its not a fantasy. shows are successful because we become attached to the characters and care for them. shows aren't successful because they stay in one genre all the time. the ending was good because it transcended all genres and it did do something different that other comedies wouldn't do. it was real, and it was deep.
so quit your ********.

its just like the episode where Rosie had her i believe it was her tonsils removed. karen avoided seeing her because she didn't want to face the fact that she might lose her. people are angry because they don't want to be sad. oh and its also like fagmalion part three when grace says that will skips over being sad and goes straight to anger at sad endings. same thing. Hey people, be a friend and support the last episode of W&G. they deserve at least that much.

i agree with you 100% the ending was just that the ending and i for one thought that it was greatly written and acted it could not have been any better i dont know what everyone else expected it to be it seems that they wanted so much more then what was there i dont know what to think i read all the post and it is horrible how everyone says that they are real fans of the show but then they go ******** because leo and vince did not have a bigger part in the ending but if they would have watched the first episode they would see that it was only the 4 of them and that is the way it ended just the 4 of them and all the ******** about 22 year of not talking ummm excuse me but if they paid attention they would see that in the last scene they all was young again so most of the stuff did not happen yet it was a glimsp of what could happen but did'nt the only thing that could have made the show a little better was to have jacks son elliot on the last show but i cant complain it was great and i loved it so i agree with you

I posted a new thread - and should've just responded to this one. I don't think there has EVER been a "bad" Will and Grace episode. That goes against the laws of nature, IMO. LOL. This includes the finale.

The thing is, I feel MOST series finale shows end up disappointing some people. There's just so much that the writers want to squeeze in, to make it logical and meaningful in relation to the characters- with the ending the viewers want.

I think the story line was great - they just had to compress it into such a short time. If there was more time to watch it develop (like a an hour or two - er, wait, was it an hour?? lol) ....of course then it would've flowed better. Regardless - I loved the way they had their children marry at the end to bring them back together.

UGH. I'm really sad it's over. That was a one of a kind show.

The rest of the loyal fans have an opinion too and and it differs from yours so deal with it.

I hate to break it to you... but the reason most people watch tv, sitcoms in general, is to escape reality and have a little entertainment. Hell, I know friendships end and people grow apart. It has happened to me, I have bills to pay, a child, blah, blah, blah that's real life. I don't need to see real life on a sitcom. If I want to see that, I'll watch a documentary. The point is we watched these characters go through thick and thin together. Just because they have a husband/boyfriend and children now they suddenly don't have anything in common and can't manage to get together for nearly 20 years? That is ridiculous, utter garbage. The writers failed. They were trying to hard and they missed the boat.

well i DO see your point, but how about this for UN-realistic, do you know of anyone who is worth millions, coming up to you and offering you all your money like bev did for jack?...no. then how about that millionare getting swept off the balcony leaving you EVERYTHING?....no, you dont.hmmmmmmmmmm, how about after 20 years, by fate, the kids of two best friends coming together at THE SAME COLLEGE, and JUST LIKE THEIR PARENTS they were across the hall from eachother..........these are just a couple of the beautifully done UNrealistic moments in the finale.......

well thats not at all true, all will said was that they are rusty, not completely DIFFERENT!!!.....like grace said, because of their new lives, it feels like they closed THAt chapter, in which they were eachothers world, but now because they have brand new lives, it would just be weird to be the same way again, and even to just get together like once a month would still be weird for them.....and i agree, and if all you people who call yourselves "GREAT FANS", really were, then you would understand that things just werent the same anymore, so their RELATIONSHIP couldnt be the same anymore. Though when they met at their kids school, they showed that no matter how much time has passed, they would still have their #0m0-jo!..........................

i read in an article a not so long time ago, that max and dave wrote the plot and theme of the finale close to the end of the third season, so after that they have done 5 INcrEDIBLE seasons, how IS that GARBAGE if they were planning to do this ALL ALONG?.........if they were such crappy writers, then they would have f'ed up ALL of the epsds. with their "GARBAGE" as you say...........BUT,that never happened, they did an AWESOME job, i couldnt be more pleased!!!!........BRAVO DAVE AND MAX..........BRAVO!!!!!
