NBC > NBC Extras > NBC Vault > Primetime Vault > Will & Grace

I do not understand why they turned young at the end? I wish the writers would explain it on the dvd! Does anyone get it? Anyway, the whole thing was not the way it should have ended. True friends like them would never go that long without speaking. I wish I had not watched it!

The technique the writers used, at least I think, was to show that from young to old, old to young, they all remained friends, even though Will and Grace hit a rough spot, they all ended up happy. Because they all were together.

Maybe they just didn't want to leave the audience with the image of them being old and wrinkled, well with the exception fo Karen that is.

It's the way that we all know them, and want to remeber them.

I guess they were trying to point out that even though 20 some years past, nothing with them as changed, that they are the same as the day they met.

In the end, the finale was a tribute to the quality of their friendships that they endured the 18-year haitus. And in the last scene, when they go from middle-aged to young, I think it showed that we are the same inside, and that our friends/loves will always see us that way (the way we see ourselves--forever young). We're always youthful and beautiful in the eyes of those who truly love us. It really was well done.

They weren't separated for 20 years because they were angry--it was life with their new families that caused them to lose touch. It's such a common, yet hard-to-tell story. But they pulled it off with style, wit and pathos. In the end, it was a remarkable tribute to thier enduring friendships that they could just pick up where they'd left off. On the outside, they may have aged a little, but inside, they were the same four hearts. It was PERFECTION.
