I am shocked that people are disappointed with the finale. I thought it was great. It is completely believable the way that it ended. Most of the time when you marry and start a family your relationship changes with your close friends. That does not mean you don't love them, but your priorities change. If you have raised a family, you know that when your kids are little they take up a lot of your time and then by the time the kids start to pull away you have more time for yourself and your friends. I think it is awesome that Will and Grace were able to reconnect their friendship. Will and Grace loved each other, but not romantically. If they had not moved on independently, they would not have been happy. Grace felt it subconsciously in her dreams. A lot of their relationship was built on supporting their unhappy relationships with others. I think Will and Grace were very happy later in life, but it was bittersweet because they realized their relationship had evolved to a different level. I loved how they handled Jack and Karen. They are both too self-centered to be devoted in a romantic relationship with anyone. They are perfect to be together. They understand each other. I feel bad for viewers that were disappointed because, if you were a fan, you really felt connected with these people. I think the writers tried to complete the story line in a way that would fulfill us as fans. That was a big order to fill.

very well said! it truly is a tall order for the writers to fill, and I admire them taking some creative chances, just like they have been for the past eight years.
