Ok.. I'm a perfectionist and like everything in order (its a curse

). On iTunes, all of my episodes have the office logo when i look at the videos as thumbnails, but Valentine's Day is a picture of pam. Anyone else hve this problem?

Um...I'm an itunes novice...I have all the episodes but they show up as a list...how do you look at them as thumbnails?
JimHalpertIsLife
May 31 2006, 08:39 PM
go to videos on the side menubar, then click on the top right of the screen, right below the browse eye. There are 2 symbols; one with 3 horizontal lines and the other with 4 boxes in a grid. Click the boxes and it should come up as thumbnails. Then look at valentines day and post back!

No Dunder-Miflin logos..
All my season one episodes have the picture that is at the top of this webpage with Michael in the center and others in the background...
All my season two episodes as I think an OLDER picture which again has Michael in the center...
Actually these are the pictures used by the iTunes store to represent seasons 1 and 2 of the office...
In a weird side note. one of my episodes of Battlestar Galactica has a frame from the show, not the typical pictures, as its icon...weird...

I've downloaded several of the episodes from iTunes for my iPod. All Season 1 episodes and several Season 2 episodes show up on my iPod as "Season 0". The "Valentine's Day" episode from Season 2 is the only one that shows up as "Season 2" What can I change so that all the episodes show up correctly?

That is really weird and i have no idea. Wheres the temp when you need his computer skills?
Valentines day on my itunes is different too.
I dont really know why i'm commenting, because youre going to see that someone posted and get your hopes up that someone knew how to fix it and i dont. so bye!

I found the same dilemma, I downloaded Season 1 and The Injury and the Booze Cruise first, then a couple of weeks later I downloaded the rest of season 2. The first batch of videos I downloaded came up as season 0 and the second batch came up as season 2. I tried like hell to fix this but to no avail. what i ended up doing was making a video playlist of all of the episodes in order. I like it that way so when one episode ends the next episode in sequence plays.

That's a good idea. I think I'll just do that. Thanks!

When I first downloaded the itunes user program and Office S2 episodes, it did not always play well. The sound and video were off sync most of the time. After playing them a number of times it did improve. I have been getting messages about a newer version of the itunes player for my computer. I got sick of seeing it so I finally downloaded the 'new' version. Now every time I open the file I have to click on a disclaimer acceptance box first. Also the episodes are playing off sync again and whenever I do anything else on my computer it stops the show like my computer can't handle it!!
I guess I should have not gotten the new version.

Do you also have to download the same program to your ipod to play the shows?

My episodes don't plat too well on my laptop, frequent pauses and all, especially if I try to make the screen larger. But on my ipod they are as smooth as anything. You don't download anything to your ipod but the shows themselves. You connect the ipod to your computer and you have to go through a setup first though.

I think it is useless. My first problem is that I use a laptop when thery are intended to be used on an ipod. My second problem is that the episodes are not on DVD yet!!!
Thanks for your responses though.

They use the h.264 codec, which runs good on newer computers, but isn't too great for older computers. It has an amazing codec, but requires a powerful CPU and Video card -- so if you have Integrated graphics and a slower CPU/small amount of RAM it will choke.
It plays well on the iPod because it has a hardware chip inside that decodes the h.264 stream on the fly.

I didn't think this was an old computer(3 years.) I guess if it was a house it would be almost new but in computer years it is a dinosaur!!

You see the range of time with the episode. Where ever the point (that's moving) is, click right on it and it gets it back in sync. At least that's what I do.

I refuse to download the new "upgraded" itunes, because all that it does is reset the volume controls on your ipod, to respond to the angry parents saying that the ipod plays music too loud and will damage their kids hearing. Well, Darnit, if i want to blow out my eardrums, i will. If i want my System of a Down at 120 decibels, then i will. I wont let some parents who's kids are too stupid to turn it down, keep me down.

well i bought all the episodes from iTunes and they all play fine....in Quicktime. I dont usually watch the stuff i buy from itunes in itunes. i find quicktime to use less memory on your computer making the video run smoother. so try using quicktime to play the itunes videos. also, if it still goes slow, trying closing somethings. still going slow?....you might not have enough memory to run it smoothly i guess. put it on your ipod.

Found the files to play on quick time. Thank you for the suggestion. So far so good. The crazy of it all was that the origonal itunes player that I downloaded worked fine (well, after a couple of months.)

Will itunes have a season pass for season 3 or will they just sell them by the episode?
If anyone knows the answer it would be much appreciated.

In march, i downloaded the whole second season of The Office on itunes and i watch them a lot. Two days ago i upgraded to the new version of Itunes and now, for some reason, The Dundies, Sexual Harassment, and Performance Review won't play. When i click to watch them, it says that they can't be found and i can cancel or search for them. They aren't in the folder with the rest of the season and i have never touched that folder before so i have no clue where they could be. Somebody please help me!

well i had problems, with the christmas party episode not playing all they way thru, at least the video, but the sound kept going. i emailed the support and they were prompt about helping me out. let me download it again, but the video still did not play. they are correcting it on there end and in the meantime they gave me a free video of my choice. not all bad but i am still waiting on the chirstmas party.
just my 1 cents
sorry to hear about your troubles tho

i watched all of season 1 & 2 in the old version and christmas party did not play all the way thru and still does not play in the new version. itunes says they are fixing my problem and gave me a free video voucher in the meantime.
but i do find some odd things that happen with itunes like when pausing then playing the video screen disappears. and you can't skip to the next episode with the right arrow key as in the older version....
so yeah, dont don't download it for a while so they can fix the glitches..
