First of all, I want to thank The Cast & Crew of Will & Grace for 8 years of laughs, water-cooler conversation and emulating odd parts of my life on TV. I knew I was going to love this show when I read about it in TV Guide's Fall Season of new shows before it even aired. This show has been an every week appointment for me for all of those 8 years! I actually cried when I was hearing the TV spots for the final episode and then the levy really broke upon the airing of the final episode. I will miss this show dearly! I think they could have squeezed 2 more years out of it and still "bowed out gracefully", with the same exact ending.
I was able to buy the "Finale" on the 28th of May at Wally-World. It was just there and it found me. So, I bought 2 copies.
Here's a question for anyone who has a legitimate answer for me. Why is it that on Ebay (avoiding obvious pun) that I can find seasons 5-7 but from England and Asia only and not hyde nor hair of it here in ye ol U.S.A.?! When or will they be released here? I must know. And how long will this board be up? How long will there be merchandise for the show for sale on this site? Why, on the "Finale" DVD is it different than the actual 2-hour special as far as the "behind the scenes" part is concerned? You had gigabites to play with on it, why not include everything? Thank goodness for VCRs! How long will the show be in syndication? Where? What networks?
I knew this show would end sometime. Just seems 8 years is too soon. I used to stick around for "My Name Is Earl", "The Office", and "Medium" and "Scrubs". But now that my Thursday ritual is gone, who knows what I'll watch or not watch. This show, Will & Grace is so influential and such an intergal part of my weekly schedule, and now that it's gone, the cards will be stacked all askewly. It's a bitter-sweet ending for a show that at least once in my lifetime had all the loose ends wrapped up nicely with a big bow in rainbow colours on top, and I have to give kudos for the writer for that major favor. So, a million to infinity times, THANK YOU for ending it with decency!
That's all I got to say about that....(for now anyway)
Love 'n kitches,

Hey Randy
I too have been searching for at least Season 5 on DVD, and there is no trace of it anywhere, i can't even find a release date for it. I am actually really frustrated as well, i mean i have seasons 1-4 practically memorized.
I would caution you against buying the UK or Chinese editions as they are a differnt format and will not play in North American DVD players. I did some research on this, and some dvd players are PAL compatible (UK format) but you need to make sure you TV can be changed to PAL as well. IF you are PAL compatible Amazon.co.uk has pretty good prices too, even with the exchange rate. Anyways, just some things to keep in mind.
I read on this board that Season 5 is expected to come out here in August sometime. I am not sure how reliable that info is.
As for the rest of your questions re: this board, i am not sure.
Have a 'gracious' day

i completely agree, i was so dissapointed that they didnt feature the one hour retrospective of the show on the dvd like they promised to, or just a bunch of other cool stuff, ANYTHING!!!......again like you said, they tons of free space to play with, so y they didnt do so is beyond me!
.......................................................
now that the show is over, expect the seasons to start coming out a LOT sooner, season 5 is gonna be out at the end of august, but the date is always subject to change, and the cover looks amazing, just check it out for yourself!!!!!!!!!

I really hope you are right re: seasons being released faster. If they come out at the same pace as they are now it will be four years before season eight finally comes out! I just don't understand what the hold up is, especially since every season has alreasdy been released overseas. And why do some shows like FRIENDS release all the seasons within a year of the finale?
I know it is unhealthy, but i feel like i can't wait till August W&G is my drug and i need another hit! That is why i love this message board, i know i am not alone here. I love that everyone is as obsessed as me! I am so glad i found you all, i just wish i came here sooner.
Thank you all for making me feel a little less crazy!

And it makes no sense that it comes out on DVD in other countries before it is released in the USA. Hello, it was produced here! And even Medium, in it's first season, released their first DVD, but wag is four years behind, whats the deal?

First of all, love your screen name, would have used it myself had I known about this message board and signed up when "God Herself!" :? created Will and Grace...I constantly find myself using this line when the heat is turned up by an oncoming piece of eye-candy.
As for the drug inducing aspect of the show...give me a hit too!!! I have been trying to figure out a saying for how I feel about this show...
I wanted to comment that I think, hope, pray, or what ever it is we do, that WAG comes out in a more timely and quick fassion than it did for the first four seasons to come out...Like eight years!!! come one now...I am into the Simpsons and they are in their like millionth season or something like that and they can still kick out two seasons a year...just intime for my brother to milk off my money for a birthday and xmas present...theres another $100 spent not on me...prauda would have been nice...or a nice raulph lauren outfit!!!...
Cross our fingers for a quick turn around and for the extra bonus features NBC owes its dedicated viewers for eight years...come on, do they really think that we didn't notice the first part of the two hour series finale titled "Say Goodnight Gracie?" on the final disk...I paid good money for this!!!

I am in total agrement with you as to how slowly they are releasing the WAG box sets. Yet, you can get all 8 seasons overseas. From my understanding, the reason they are released so quickly overseas is because they are not held to the licensing & distribution laws that we use here in the US. So who knows when the last box set will be released. I'm thinking sometime in 2008. That is way too long to wait.
