Full Version: Crabman, aka Darnell, aka Harry Monroe
NBC > Primetime > My Name Is Earl

Remember the episode where in some flash or something, guys in black suits dropped him off by the roadside, and just left? What do you'all think? FBI, CIA or who? And remember he is very smart. I hope they get deeper into that next season.

Just that his name was Harry Monroe...and he liked Cheese.

Witness Protection Program?

Crabman is not hiding too well. his "moms" and his sister were both at his wedding.

He is too funny though. I think he did quite a few commercials - -Captain Morgan? There are a few others...that hair is a dead giveaway...... wink.gif

He is also the famed "Rubberband Man" that appears in Staples commercials that air before school starts.

Ah, but how do we know they really are his moms and his sister?

That's what I remember, too. Also in a response to a remark about slavery, he said "Not me, I'm Canadian." Which may be the case whatever the cloak and dagger because the sneaky/peekies advise a cover to have details similar to the truth so as not to slip up.

I like him the way he is, though.

(Dang. I want to use an emoticon but they're too small for me to see what they're upto.)

After Darnell and Joy were discussing who would win in a fight between their relatives at Thanksgiving, I got to thinking about this. Did Darnell hire a bunch of actors? If so, why would he have been upset if Earl slept with his Momsie?

Good question but I have another. How come Crabman wasn't worried that he would be found after Joy posted his face on that billboard?

He was worried. That's why he went to her and asked that she take down the billboard. I assume that after they made up, she called and had the billboard taken down.

And after last nights show, we learned that he doesn't like to be asked all these questions about anything in general.

Husband: Where'd these squares come from?

Crabman: My wife made them

Wife: What kind are they?

Crabman: uh, their lemon squares?

Husband: These real lemons?

Crabman: My name is Darnell Higgins (is that his last name?) and thats all I know.

Wasn't it "and that's all it's ever been"? (I might of heard wrong?

Earl isn't really a show I look to for extreme plausibilty and congruency in its plot. Its a goofy comedy with a lot of heart behind it, thats what makes it great in my eyes, not the thought that any of it could actually happen.

That said...if I had to explain it away, I'd say that someone in the witness protection program, barring whoever they're being hidden from isn't to scary, would be able to discreetly invite his family to his wedding.

My question is, do you think we should be looking in upcoming episodes for lawyers to pop up wanting him to testify?

In the "Cops" episode, we see Crabman growing pot in his Grandma's house. How is his Grandma involved in the Witness Protection Program?

In season 3 things seemed to really turn upside down. Catalina really does loev randy now? Earl took the fall for Joy. What about the little known crabman?

What do you think he was placed in the witness protection program for? Will we find out this season?

I'm guessing he was a snitch in an insider trading case or some sort of corporate malfeasance, like an Enron-type whistle blower.

I hope that if we ever find out, it's something much funnier than what I came up with.

Does Catalina really love Randy, or was she just that impressed by his madd skillz?

I was thinking he saw something, like a mob hit or a presidential affair.

maybe the crab man used to be a police man or a political figure who did see something. He's awfully smart so it has to be something kinda important
Queen_Ivy
I doubt Randy and Catalina are in love.

I too agree that it has to be something pretty important, because I think Crabman is very bright.

I think whatever it is has to do with cheese because he was told he could no longer like cheese by the guys in the witness protection van on the Y2K episode.
Fancy_New_Becca
^^ good pick up Amy. Could it be that crabman was a federal inspector?
