If any people out there own a bird like this, or know anyone that does, they know that while this lady is not going to win 1 million dollars for training her parrots, but they would also know that this type of bird is not easy to train for shows. They are typically closet actors and speakers. I was very impressed with Zazoo and thought the trainer and the bird were wonderful. I thought this time that the judges were off. After all they let the person through who juggled and dropped things. The woman trainer was much better, and believe me I know my birds. I have two birds like the one the lady had and other very talkative birds. Sure the english judge or anyone might be able to get a bird to repeat words, but not on command.

had to share my thoughts.

I enjoyed the lady and her bird. I was glad she stood up for herself. Anyone who loves animals and takes the time to work with them should be given credit. Kudos to her and her Parrot.

I agree completely. I have worked in the animal business for the last 7 years and it's not as easy to train animals as people think. Ya you can probably teach a bird to repeat what you say, but to teach them to say it on comand and even better to answer your question with a sound on command takes an extreme amount of time and patients and heck I think the bird and the lady had a lot of talent. What gets me even worse is they bump her off and they let the guy with the dogs go through. Dogs are far easier to train! I think they at least need to give the contestants more time I was really looking forward to listening to the bird.

Hi, I completely agree with you. I own an African Grey, Solomon, and I was so upset by the way the english judge reacted to her and Zazoo. It is difficult to train them to talk on command, especially in front of people. I don't feel that they appreciated her hard work and I am glad that she stood up for herself.

I felt bad for her but I dont think she showed her talent well. I can see that she was talented but she showed off the birds ability more than her own. I wish she would have had some way to show or describe how difficult it is to do what she did. The performance reminded me of a bird show you'd see at a zoo or amusement park. I think others saw it that way too...
