Maybe they're worried about AI losing some steam with it going into about it's sixth season, and he wants to make sure we see a really bad talent show because then we'll all appreciate AI even more and be more than excited when the next season starts. I mean, come on. Even that ego-maniac has to know that the whole format of this show is pretty pathetic.
