Why is it that there are almost always 3 judges!?!? And not only that but being a women myself I'm kinda offended that there is always only 1 girl... I mean come on.. can't u try to make it even? Might I suggest 4? But then of course that brings up the problem of the score being even like 2 yes and 2 no but then they could like have the host or something vote... i dunno

If I were God I would choose to have 5 judges.
Two men, two female, one of them white, one black, one hispanic, one asian, and Optimus Prime.

So am I.
I really do think they should have a much more diverse amount of judges that can actually bring something more to the table besides an out of work actor and/or manager, a witty British guy, and an out of sync ethnic recording artist.
We need more robots, dammit.

I haven't played the "I've seen a lot of variety shows' card recently, so *fwip* here it is.
This is true. Not just on this and 'Idol,' but also on 'Master of Champions,' 'Steve Harvey's Big Time Challenge,' and 'Dance Fever.' All but Steve Harvey's have one woman who sits (sat) in the middle of two men. (Harvey's had different judges each week).
Other than the tie thing? Frankly, judges are just stars in their fourteenth minute of fame, and having more than three means you have to deal with yet another has-been or never-was clawing their way into the limelight. It's an ego thing, and a time thing. Mostly a less-judges-means-less-yammering thing.
