The Factor
I got the DVD and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. The espisodes are there, and while they're great, there are little or no extras. I would love to have a behind the scenes on the stunts, or extra interviews with the contestants. What is shown on the DVD is almost exactly what you would have seen on TV. Hopefully when the next DVD comes out, there are more extras.

I liked that one too. I think it was cool because it went on from week to week and you really got to know the couples. The episodes that I liked the best were early on, but I can't remember which season. I liked the one where they had to drink 100 year old eggnog, and the one where they brought back all of the people who had won during the season and had a tournament of champions. I think it was like a 2-4 part episode. Those were cool. Any other favorites? Let me guess...you love the one where the girl had to go bobbing in blood and she whipped her head out and was completely covered in blood. Am I right?

I liked Season 3 best. I think the stunts reached reached their peak of extremeness that season. Also, they seemed to focus more on the contestants' fear of what they were about to do. There was also more trash talking and personality developement, so you got to know the contestants and it was easy to pick someone to root for or against. On the episodes these past two seasons, it doesn't seem like anyone cares that they're about to jump out of a helicopter or get bit by snakes, they just care about getting the best time. I know the show is a competition, but it's called FEAR Factor. There doesn't seem to be much fear lately. In the earlier seasons there were a lot more hesitant people and emotional breakdowns. In seasons 5 and 6 you don't see as much of that. In the first three or four seasons, you wondered, "are they going to do it?" and it made the show more suspenseful. Now you know they're going to do it (exception for the haircut-that was a good one), the only suspense is seeing who's going to get the best time. The championships at the end of seasons 2 and 3 were also cool. Season 4 was the second best season, it was basically like season three except the contestants seemed a little more complacent.

I completely agree! I mean, when's the last time you saw someone not do a stunt out of fear? Other than the hair cut, I can't remember a time, although I thought that the past two episodes with the military and the families in Orlando were awesome! I think that there should be more to weed out some people, rather than have it be a competition to see who gets the fastest time.
