Full Version: Bianca Ryan - The truth

To anybody who recognizes who I am, hello.

Let me give everyone what the real truth is for Bianca Ryan, as a musician. First of all, she was AMAZING on her first performance, A-MAZ-ING. Period. With the exception of Charlotte Church (before her pop music era, yuck), I have never heard an 11 year old so (no, not old or mature) authentic. Not only does this girl sound like an adult, the timbre of her voice matched the genre of music perfectly. It was just magnificent. There were very very minor pitch issues, but they were super minor. Also, she did go back just a little bit into her kid voice on the high note at the end, but eh, who cares? I mean she IS a kid, right?

What is going to be interesting is gto see whether Bianca can maintain our interest past the "Holy crap, this 11 year old sings like that?" Is she going to able to keep raising the bar and turn in, not great performances for an 11 year old, but great performances period. This will be her test. If she can maintain the quality of her performances and not let the audience get jaded aboyut her, she has the best chance of anybody to win the show.

I think she can do it. And I certainly hope she can because I think she is incredible. But time will tell the story....

But let me reassure all of you, I am unbiased in all of my reviews. If Bianca starts to stink up the show, I will call her on it.

And that is the truth of Bianca Ryan

P.S. Mckenneth, please save your stuff about Charice being better than Bianca for some other board. Is she good, of course. Is she better than Bianca? Not in my opinion. But who is better is not the point....
CHARICE ISN'T ON THIS SHOW! And if I may be so bold, most people here are sick of you talking about her. It's all you post on. What are you? Her promoter? If you are, you need to work on it because I think there are better promotional schemes than the old "Message Board Annoying Post Guy" tactic. So save it for someone who gives a hoot.

(That Gone with the Wind line would totally have not worked with "I don't give a hoot"

As a former musician, I agree she is amazing for her age, but fresh from singing around town at ballgames and stuff, I worry for all the overnight attention. I'm sure her parents do too. Like you, I also wonder about her ability to hold on to an audience long term. I was more impressed by the broader talent and showmanship of the 12 yo harmonica player (& his brother) and saw that he's been touring with his family's band for years at some festivals and theatres and colleges (kudos to the parents for being committed to keeping them out of smoky bars and clubs and at nicer family venues). I know someone that hosted them at a festival and said they were the nicest family ever and that the whole show kept a huge crowd on their feet for an hour. I'm eager to see what both can do 2 or 3 performances into this. I also loved the quick change people from Cirque de Soleil and the clogger and contortionist, but also wonder if the 2nd and 3rd time with these acts will get boring...wondering what else they can do.

Let me know what you all think

Bianca really was great. It is truly amazing to hear such incredible talent coming from a youngster like her. I think that she is really talented but there on the subject of kids, there are others like the harmonica player from the Clayton Miller Band and more that should be equally appreciated because they are talented as well, and they aren't simply a singing act.

This kid on harmonica has pure talent and aside from Bianca, he is the only other younger person who sticks out in my mind.

Just a thought...

So who are you, Guy from nowhere????

Anyway, I agree with Callie and Neil...I can't wait to see more of the harmonica kid and brother. I stood up in my living room and was shaking my head at that kid. Where's the video on the website? I couldn't find it. I found a thing of him singing on youtube and he has an amazing voice as well. I know we didn't get to hear it on the show...the sound guy on the show seemed to have a little trouble with anything beyond the single person talking or singing....I know a little about sound, and every band or multiple type sound group had their balance way off...maybe next time. Anyway, that kid is amazing. I agreed with what a couple of others wrote about not just another singer...there's 25 shows for them...

I also agreed with what someone wrote about the quick change, yodel and contortionist...that's great for a variety show or 10 min. of a vegas show or something...and this 2 min. format really gives them a big advantage, but what would they do beyond 10 minutes... I'm going to vote for somthing that I would want to go see a whole show of. FOr me it's LD and Cole Miller at this point, but I guess I'll decide after I hear more.

BUT NBC, where is the video...this was clearly an audience favorites and big buzz on the board, but no video??? Seems like they are pushing their favorites pretty clearly.
Talentedgirls
I like the kid singers especially Bianca .She has a gift that's all I have to say about it. She's an incredible singer .All the girls that have sung have done very well. Their are some other acts that are good also, The harmonica kid was great playing the harmonica but the singing part wasn't that good and people know that and can definately HEAR that. The PBM group was good but the singing part was just ok.See what I mean. If you can't sing theirs no staying power. people listen to artists because they listen to a voice. If you have a great voice and have great band members It makes it even more better, but without a voice you have NOTHING! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. This is a talent competion Since when is singing not a talent ,just because there's an American idol show doesn't mean that kids who can sing shouldn't be on this show and shouldn't win . Their the ones that will be around forever and have staying power not acts that are good and clever once or twice but then become less appealing . It's still a Talent know matter how you look at it. And their young girls and that's what makes it extrodinary and different !!!!! My vote is still for the 11 yr old girl. Thanks!

I agree with the original poster, this young girl was amazing and she has talent.

Yeah....Guyfromnowhere....just curious about your opening...who are you, mystery man.
Guyfromnowhere
I did weekly recaps (that turned out for some bizzare reasons to be very popular) on the American Idol message boards. I would rank the singers and junk like that. I thought someone might know me from there, guess not.
Dah well, who cares about little ol' me? Right?
