laugh.gif I thought it would be fun to see what the people want to see more or less of on America's Got Talent.

I wish I could have figured out how to let posters select up to 3 choices.
The Poll is only letting you select one choice.

I would definetly love to see more dancing, I love dancing and I love watching it. I guess thats why I watch the show "so you think you can dance" LOL.

I would have only chosen 2: Acrobatic and Dancing. I enjoy seeing a wide variety (including the stupid acts), but those are the two types I like seeing most.

I want to see more Acrobatics. That's real talent! There's a lot of good singers, but I think we all saw enough singers on American Idol.

71 people have viewed this post and only 8 have voted...come on people, lets vote and tell AGT want we want to see....
orgh295
And notice that the acts getting the most praise (child acts and singers) have no votes for them.

well, there ya go...a vote for bands. However, the sound people don't seem to be handling music well beyond 1 person. I've seen PBM live twice and they were great and they sounded awful on the show. I've seen footage of the Millers and they sang and played great, but the sound on the show was in and out and unbalanced. Maybe it's all the fast changeovers and so many acts in front of audience, but if the sound issues were cleaned up, I'd like to see more bands.

ALso, a big art form that is missing that is huge among young people but could use broad exposure is spoken word poetry. I'm not talking barnes & noble reading...but SLAM. Lot of you know what I'm talking about. There wasn't a single Slam poet in the show. Most people don't know that there are probably 30 to 50 people in this country alone touring year round making a living as Slam poets. ANd it is powerful.
orgh295
Could you explain to us what SLAM poetry is?

What I think gets me the most is how every episode is half good acts, half bad acts, and then at the end they say: "here are some acts we didn't have time to show you that also made it."

NBC is trying way too hard to make this more like American Idol. Priority #1 should be showing all the good acts. Priority #2 should be showing all the good acts that didn't make it.
Grasshoppa
Yes...seeing some of the worthless acts makes the audience feel stupid just for watching it. With American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, we have accepted that they are going to show the good with the bad. America's Got Talent is trying the same approach because they believe it works well for the other two shows.

The balloon guy had talent, the puppets had talent. Talent to win? NO, probably not.

Sorry, but in a way I am tired of seeing worthless talent. The only ones that I can honestly say was totally worthless was the Bird Calling lady and the guy with the blowup doll.

NBC please don't waste our time with such stupidity.

I agree the bird lady was a waste of time. I dont want to see more of that kind of talent silliness.

Thanks for the poll, that was cool that you thought of it.
