David Hassholf ripped on the juggler, but he wasn't just a juggler. He is also a dancer. He was awesome... David hassholf may be an actor and singer, but he is not great at either, so who is he to judge... Anyway can pretend to talk to a talking car, but lets see David try to juggle and dance...
David was biased to the female contestents... Which is not fair...

I thought that guy was a good juggler and a good dancer, but was not particularly great at either one. It was also not the assistants fault that that ball was dropped. the guy admitted himself that his timing for the whole act was off. It was clear that he was rushing at the end.

On a talent show that's open to all kinds of different acts, the judges themselves should be open to all kinds of acts and not be biased. Hassel-goof is cleary biased. He hates jugglers. He should not be a judge. Period. And the juggler DID NOT drop a ball.

1) If you're going to rip on someone, spell their name right. It's on the site: Hasselhoff.
2) Jugglers are a dime a dozen. It doesn't mean a person doesn't like them, it just means that they have to have a twist to it. More balls being thrown into the mix like hacky sacs doesn't qualify. Somehow managing to stand on a balanced ladder doesn't really qualify either, even if it does make the act more difficult. After the ventriloquist's audition I said that any ventriloquist can make their voice match a dummy while not moving their mouth, but very few can make their voice not match their own mouth. That guy took a relatively common show talent and gave it a big twist.
3) Piers was the first to rip on the juggler!!! I can't remember exactly what either of them said, but neither one of them liked him that well. And I believe Piers was the one to bring up the dropped ball, which was clearly visible on the floor at the end of the act. It is the juggler's responsibility to make everything land where it's supposed to. His assistant better be well trained as to where the hat is supposed to be. That phrasing makes assistants sound like trained poodles, but in reality they are there only to make the actual act come off flawlessly and make everything look good. If the assistant dropped the ball, then he needs more practice. If the guy dropped the ball, then he's the one who needs more practice.
4) David, Brandy, and Piers did not choose the judges! The people running the show did! And they did so knowing full well where their expertise lies.
Personally, the juggler did stuff I could never dream of doing, but many jugglers could. This makes him no longer unique. This show is looking for someone with a UNIQUE talent. Some of these are very unique. I recommend giving them the chance to make it.

If jugglers are a dime a dozen then actors and singers are two cents a dozen!
When did they rename the show to Americas Got UNIQUE Talent?
If they are looking for unique talent then why let singers on at all? Everyone and their mother can sing.
I think the juggler would have a better shot at landing an acting or singing gig than Hasselhoff would have at getting a juggling gig. So let me get this straight, almost anyone can juggle 5 or 6 balls while balancing on a latter, but it is a rare gift to be able to hula hoop to music with your butt cheeks half exposed!

I agree with you. Singers already have American Idol. The only ones we're seeing on here are the groups/people too young for American Idol. And if America gets the point of the show then they won't vote for them in the end. But if you go to San Francisco or Las Vegas you will see jugglers juggling five or six balls...or flaming torches. I've seen them do it at the county fair in the middle of nowhere. In my opinion the only truly unique talents, fitting my personal criteria of not being widely publicized talent types and of not being scantily clad women, but also having wide appeal are the ventriloquist and the cloggers. Other than those two we have 5 singers/bands of some sort, a guy who didn't live up to the potential his audition showed, a juggler who can balance a ladder, and a hula hooper who needs more clothing.

i would like to see how many jugglers can do an split and juggling the balls, very difficult thing to do, he might not be the best of the night but you can see he has talent, it is a proffesional, performing in las vegas since he is 9 years old! and what i see that the judges have only eyes for what it is filming bussuniess, they do not have a clue about circus performers! and how difficult it is, i really would like to see david traying to jugglers some balls while he does an split!

I think there is a very fine line between having talent and having stage presence. Clearly, some people have more of one than the other. Some of the competitors, it would seem, have a little bit of talent and so much stage presence that it would carry them through on to further rounds. I'm not bashing on hoop dancers, I know it must take a tremendous amount of work, but this is a talent competition. Not a who-can-arouse-hasselhoff-the-most show. As a juggler myself--not professionally--I can tell you that juggling is a ****-of-a-lot harder than it looks. What that guy did was incredible, and for the judges to bash on him like that was uncalled for. He had talent. It's a talent competition. Maybe they should call this the stage presence competiton. WHO'S GOT STAGE PRESENCE!?!?
