If you missed the episode of Rainn and John on The Ellen Degeneres show back in February, I found a clip of it. They're both so cute. There is a dance off between the 2 of them at the end and I was falling out of my chair laughing so hard!

Also next Tue the 9th John will be on a new episode of Jay Leno!
JaniceLynn
That clip was hysterical!!! I love how John's fans put their fingers in his mouth! And how funny was the dance-off?
janlevinson
yes, thanks for posting that link...the dancing is priceless! LOVE IT!

luvtheoffice
Jenna was on. I feel asleep in my chair (it comes on at 5pm EST) and woke up during her interview. All I remember was she was cute. Still groggy...so can't remember details.

This article was in my local newspaper. Always funny to find an office refrence:

Gatekeeper

This could be the office manager or the boss' administrative assistant -- people who, because they have the boss' ear, can wield power and influence. Plus, they're often the go-to people who know just who to call in any given department to get the best results. If they've been around awhile, they know the history and the secrets. And if they're smart, they don't share too much. In other words, these are people on whose good side you want to stay. Some are motivated simply by the pleasure of knowing they're keeping the trains running on time. Some, though, lapse into the delight that comes of possessing all that power -- like small children pulling the wings off flies.

Sarikas recalls one early job where the office manager would not issue a new pencil unless you showed her the old one, which had to be shorter than two inches. The manager saw her office as her own kingdom, Sarikas says, but even so, you don't want to make an enemy of this person.

A possible dangerous subset or related type is the office informer, Lupino says. That's the person who feeds information up to the boss, reporting on who's saying what, who's wasting office supplies, who's fudging on expense reports. Think of Dwight Schrute -- the classic office snitch.

Hi Guys

Article on Rainn in this weeks EW, it's the one with Jessica Alba on the cover.
icecreamsandwich
It's hilarious. There's three pictures of him and a two page article that had me laughing till I cried. It's definitely worth buying, people!
lorannp
Also, did anyone see the Public Service Announcement in EW that had the pictures of JAM that said "Don't Blow It"? May 26. I have been so busy watchig that I have neglected my regular reading...
icecreamsandwich
I thought that was pretty cool. We're in unchartered territory now as far as the British version. I'm having this conflict in which I know the writers will do a good job, because, hello? I've loved everything up to now -- it's just so hard to trust over this huge summer break when we don't know what's going to happen to Jim and Pam.
letsgotochilis
Did anyone see this? It is Rainn Wilson and John Krasinksi chatting with Ellen DeGeneres followed by a dance off.

ps. the writers need to make a dance off episode. the possibilities are endless
lorannp
More importantly, does any one have this saved anywhere?!
Coffeeslut
you can find it on youtube

Yeah, I saw it on Youtube. It was hilariously funny. John's dancing at the end is the best.
& I love the idea of a dance-off episode. Can you imagine Angela or Phyllis dancing trying to win? Too funny.
sweetieo28
thank you for the link!!!
PBandJ
I read the interview yesterday, I love Rainn! He is too funny. I think they should put the whole main cast on an EW cover, I think that would make all of us here very happy.
Coffeeslut
welcome.
lorannp
OH MY GOLLY! That was hilarious! I would give you all my stars for that - thank you. It was the best spontaneous laugh I have had since the finale!
Bobwise
Rainn: "I wasn't always the bundle of raw sexual successful energy you see before you now..."

John: "WHAT?!?!?"

Classic Rainn...
THIS_guy
hahaha i love john's story tellings. they make me crack up.

i also love john's jackknife dancing at the end. i totally tried to do that afterward and i couldn't.

he's got skillz, man.

Or, you can read it here:

Some nice person posted scans. smile.gif

The article confirmed my happiest suspicions: band geek. Why else would they find three separate episodes that feature Dwight's recorder expertise? Be still, my heart...
Coffeeslut
My favorite is his reinactment of his reaction to the fan putting their fingers in his mouth.
JenniferJuniper7
Dang it I have to wait until I get home b/c my work computer won't play the videos. Crap!
fantasticgal
That was a great article! Rainn is hilarious! Especially that part with the recorder in the store. I love people like that, just doing what they fell like. They inspire me to continue with my randomness. Unfortunatley most people respond like the cashier. Man, if I had been there I would have wanted him to play like 17 songs...love him!!! I'm excited for his career--he's definetly one of the most talented actors on tv. --and now the movies---and then...the world!?! Yay for Rainn!
scrantonbranch
I watched it three times back to back. It was so hilarious. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. I cracked up at John's story of Mr. T and the sweaty towel. The dance off was phenonmenal. Those two can move!

Here is one of Jenna on Ellen.

Hot Frickin' Damn. Lol.
JenniferJuniper7
Ok, I was a education major and am proud to say that I aced my recorder part the final in my Music for the Child class. smile.gif I can't tell you how embarrassed I was to practice though.
lorannp
66% of music majors who apply to medical school are accepted - this is more than any other group - biochemistry majors have only 40% accepted.
lorannp
Did it look to you like John pulled something when dancing? He almost looked like he had a pulled muscle on his left side (right before he hugs Ellen...)
And did the choice of clip seem odd to anyone else? - Queer Eye gag was a bit much...it shoulda been the fitness orb gag. smile.gif
LiveForThursday
mph, its loading extremely slow for me. I'll post about it once it finally loads!

Best dance off ever!
Officionada
Ooh...danceoff...

Don't forget they all work for the Boss of Dancing!
jamalot
Okay -- true confessions -- I have taught recorder, and still play it for classes as needed (though it's not my main instrument). I am fairly certain that I could not get through Mambo #5 without laughing, and herein lies the genius of Rainn Wilson.
muffyduffy
Thanks for posting that! It's so weird to see Rainn in real life...he looks almost normal....
ringo4444
I wonder if Ellen thinks Jenna is hot.

I wonder if Ellen thinks Jenna is hot.

lol of course she does. who doesn't think she is hot. this clip was great. john's story about how someone put there fingers in his mouth was hilarious.
vbarkley
Great clip, but Ellen should have had them on longer. And I am convinced even more that Rainn is Charles Nelson Reilly's love child. With Brett Somers. Check out his pix here:

http://www.mtsu.edu/%7Ebsw2g/page1.html
Officionada
Oh my! Yes, Charles Nelson Reilly is most definitely a Schrude, er Shrute! They MUST have him on as Dwight's father or uncle. The link you posted also mentioned the Drew Carey show...now HE would certainly make the casting call for Mose, don't you think?
Carma
Fantastic! Thanks so much!
softball042
i loved the way he thought the girl would tell that story.

Random Person: You met the Guy from 'The Office'?
Girl: Yup. Totally put my fingers in his mouth.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
i lovess itt.
rawjer
A behind the scenes video from Rainn's recent Entertainment Weekly photo shoot is on their website. It's short, but pretty entertaining.

they called him a 'militant nerd'
That's awesome!
Thanks for sharing!!!!

In case you haven't seen it, Rainn is mentioned this week as one of the 113 People and Things We Love Right Now. Couple of quotes:

"When it Rainns, it never bores. With his accessibly eccentric turn on The Office as a deer-hunting, beet-farming, promotion-craving assistant (to the) regional manager, the 40-year-old supporting actor may just be TV's most lovable crypto-facist sycophant. (Evidence: NBC.com has sold over 14,000 Dwight bobblehead dolls).

"I'd like to see Dwight get his own office".

Later in the mag, there's a section called The Mega Must List in which ten of the Must List celebrities tell their favorite things:

Rainn Wilson: "Big Cats by [my wife] Holiday Reinhorn. If I don't say that, I could wake up with half of my leg cut off. I like that it's dedicated to me. I like the cover. And I love the woman who wrote it. Oh, and the characters are great."
ike32790
I haven't read the interview yet, i know, i am a little late, but i will. Anywho, from your post, it looks like a pretty cool interview.
15bottlesofvodka
