Full Version: The most unprofessional show I've seen!
NBC > Reality > America's Got Talent
mew
I can't get over what I saw this evening.
First I see judges accusing the juggler of dropping a ball (which wasn't true), then a judge tells a 12 yr. old kid to get rid of his brother???????? How dare he do that!!!! How unprofessional and cold!!!!
I disliked the whole show.
The best act was the 1st one.

They are attempting to copy American Idol by showing the good with the bad. Of course, if you read the boards you will find that many people support some of the strangest acts.

That's the American way. Agree to disagree

Re: Well I didn't like that judges have the ability to buzz other judges Xs. Brandy has done this twice and I think Hasselhoff has done it the other judge as well. I mean...One judge accidentally gave the hula hoop girl a check by accident he said and they didnt even fix it. Why would they do that?

Can anyone explain to me why they put an ENGLISH ******E in the position of judging AMERICAN talent?

From just the few show's we've seen, it's obvious Piers has no knowledge of American culture or respect for American values. Telling a 12 year-old to loose his brother was a display of arrogant, heartless snobbery.

I'm sure the producers main intention was to create controversy, lessons learned from the Simon Cowel experience. Controversy sells. But this show looks as if it we're thrown together without logical thought or concern for integrity. Fine folks with excellent talents were done a disservice while at the same time lame acts of nonesense were rewarded.

Next season I'll devote my TIVO space to something of higher quality.

I agree about Piers tonight--he went too far on some things--I was glad Brandy took up for ALL THAT about their clothes when he told them to come out in "crisp suits"--he has a thing about what people wear on the show!!

Piers may be a result of the show's producers trying to immitate Simon Cowel, but seeing that Simon is the executive producer I'd say it has more to do with nepatism. Simon and Piers are probably friends.

I think Brandy and Hasselhoff are judges because everyone else figured the show would fail and they had nothing better to do. Also, Brandy's career is about where Paula's was when she started AI - lost in obscurity.

As far as the buzzers go, it looked to me like the buzzers hadno real purpose. During the auditions getting 3 X's meant the audition was over, not that you were booted off the show. the buzzers are just for show.

or how about the fact that BRANDY - so obviously JEALOUS AND THREATENED - only buzzed one or two people the entire show and was excessively rude to one person, CORINA BROUDER, harpist/ singer/beautiful woman! um, hello? isn't Brandy's new album coming out this month... anyone else find it a bit messed up for Brandy to be obnoxious to the only potential threat to her career / the only adult female with talent???

...Which is weird because didn't Piers say "You look great" to All That! when they auditioned?? They wore almost the same thing last night. I'm sure they'd look hot in suits, too, but the only time I've ever seen cloggers in suits/tuxes is at a wedding reception. smile.gif
