Full Version: Disappointing Semi-finals
NBC > Reality > America's Got Talent

I love American Idol and I never miss a show....however, America's Got Talent has been a huge disappointment. The entertainment factor is practically zilch! I feel like I have been to the county fair or a low-budget circus and walked through watching all the side shows; then someone took ten minutes after each 1 minute act to discuss and critique a really bad form of entertainment. All ten acts could have been done in the space of one hour, what a huge waste of time and money!!

I would never devote television time to watch someone dance with hula hoops, juggle, or play a harmonica. I cannot imagine why the harmonica player was the judge's choice. If I listen to someone play the harmonica it will be at one of the resorts like Dollywood or the shows in Branson, Missouri; even then they are part of hugely entertaining show centered around people who have much greater talent than was displayed tonight on this show.

It is difficult to believe that Simon Fuller conceived this show...it does not even come close in comparison with the quality of entertainment from American Idol.
