Last nights show left me flat! It seems that the goal is to showcase talented children like the kid from the Millers or the little yodel girl - or showcase freaky adults - like the finger snapping guy or the Vic Secret Drag Queen.
As a mother of three young children I wanted to be able to enjoy this show with my kids - but some of the acts were not appropriate for young children. My 4 year old does not need to see her favorite princess strip and my son was pretty confused by the Drag Queen Angel Sword Person.
I liked the talented kids, and I liked the dancers and the bands. And hey - where was PBM? I ordered their cd - and it is my nine year olds favorite. As a parent I wanted to review their lyrics and wow are they good!That lead singer that Piers wants replaced writes fantastic stuff! It looks like he writes the music too - now thats talent. They should get a second chance on the show.
For the final show I would like to see the Millers and PBM, the little Yodel girl and the piano player, oh and the little girl that sang on the 2nd episode (she was 11 and Piers didnt like her look). So far those are the talented ones.
It is a shame PBM didnt make it through to the next round.

I grew up with one memeber of PBM, and I can personally say that these guys are all heart and a great talent. I'm not being bias although you can think that. I've seen the one member go from kid looking to play and instrument to a talent which has blown me away. Glad to hear that you are able to order the CD and even have your kids listen to it. It's so rare these days!
I agree the lead singer writes great stuff. Honestly, I wasn't a fan of his voice at first... But it grows on you. It's unique (look at cindy lauper, and some of the other voices that made it big and are different).
Also, I think that to be called a true artist, you have to be able to create music. Not sample it off of other peoples hard work. PBM creates their own work and I call them artists.
You should see PBM live, that's why I was more than stunned when they didn't make it!
