In my opinion, Caitlyn is ALOT better than Bianca! It seemed as though Bianca was screaming through the entire song trying to change a country song into a rock song! Yes, Caitlyn did have her rough spots in the song but I thought she was good!

Piece of My Heart is NOT a country song. Janice Joplin is the queen of rock and roll and Bianca sang it pretty much the way Janice does. Had she had a full 3 minutes to sing the whole song and not just the beginning and chorus I think it would have been better. Not her best performance, but I still voted for her.
Yes, there is a country remake, but Bianca was doing the original. I'm pretty sure she only picked the song because she is up for the part of Janice Joplin in Joplin the Movie.

I agree with the Judges on Caitlyn. That song was way to big for her. She is a good singer though.

Not much of a music fanatic if you haven't heard of Janis Joplin. Yes, what Bianca was doing was quite similar to Janis' style...nothing smooth about it...but she was a legend. Not many could get away with doing that song, it was the song, not the singer.
Caitlyn was ok...good at best, but came off as stuck up. Bianca's first performance was AMAZING...not easy to compare the two IMO.

Lord if you knew anything about music you would've realized her pitch was all wrong tonight. Not only that, but her ending note was cut off by a small breath that she had to allow herself to take just to make it through. Bianca made a common mistake most singers make in a competition, picking a wrong song. It may have ended her chances (I hope not, and I hope America votes her though) by singing her song that doesn't suit her very well. But Caitlyn is nowhere near the level of Bianca.

It's understandable that someone might not know who janice Joplin is. I think the issue is your board name implies that you would know who a rock legend is. Do you at least know who the Doors are? How about Led Zepplin?

As for Bianca's performance...I thought it was pretty good. Pretty much on target for what Janis did, imo. BUT...I think I would stick to the jazzier stuff that she did the first time around. She seemed more comfortable with it.

Caitlyn is cute and sings ok but still sounds like a 12 year old. I am sure she will get better as she matures. Bianca on the other hand sounds mature already so her voice is much more appealing. I grew up listening to Joplin and though Bianca did an exellent rendition, she sounds better with a song that does not require the yelling. This is the way the song was originally intended but there will never be another Joplin! But my vote goes to Bianca! She is one talented girl! I also vote for The Millers but only for L.D. He has a great talent and I am sure he will be around for a long long time!

I voted for Bianca, we all know from her last preformance that she has the goods, and i think she did a spot on job of the janis joplin song tonight. in the finals she will be back to more R&B style.
as for Caitlyn she did a well enough job but her voice still has some matureing to do.

Not even close? I agree. But I think Caitlyn is the better of the two. Bianca sounded to "screamy" to me. She should have stayed with her original style. Caitlyn on the other hand, I can't say if she improved or not since they didn't show her original performance. Seems like NBC may already have their "winners" picked. I think Caitlyn did an AWESOME job and will of course improve, as many of them will. Let's remember, these two are kids and Caitlyn's voice has more potential.

Bianca, Bianca, Bianca!!! All I can say is that this little one has gotten some major publicity and it has snowed many into believing she is a super talent. Sure, the kid has some talent. But I believe that tonight has shown us that she is not flexible in her range. I have worked with 'up and coming' child talent for years and I am just not particularly impressed with Bianca. She doesn't have that star quality, she doesn't 'glitter' on stage. So she has a good set of lungs, so does my macaw! On the other hand, I was quite impressed with this Catilin Love. She does have star quality about her. She had a bit of a pitch problem tonight which could be nothing more than nerves, lack of sleep from excitement or a throat tickle (too much rehersal?). Look at her face as she is singing. She is all heart and it comes right through in her music. Bianca is a blank chalkboard. Catilin sparkles and 'performs' her music from the bottom of her soul and has awesome range with natural vibrato and resonance. Nothing fake about her. It's just a really sad sin that the publicity fell on the wrong face.... No insult intended to anyone, but I've seen 'em in the making for years now and my feeling is that Bianca is all hype and no heart where Catilin is all heart and no hype. ......just my humble opinion.

Just an educated guess, you all will see Bianca again very soon. If not on "America Wants Talent" then on another TV show. Maybe "The Tonight Show", or "Late Night", or how about "Regis and Cathy"?. I would bet money on it. No matter, you will see her again, and very soon.
On the other hand, as sweet as Caitlyn is, and as much as I wish the best for her, you will not hear from her again for many years, if ever. She may eventually get it down as she matures but she just doesn't have it right now. She needs to work on her vocals and her tune as she lacks in both.
Bianca is already there. She's a natural. She was born to sing. The sky's the limit for this young lady. She just needs a great manager to lead her in the right direction. I don't know why they picked this song for her tonight but it wasn't a good call IMO even though she did an excellent job singing it.

Bianca certainly didn't 'nail' the song. She has a throaty voice, but I don't think anyone here realizes that Janice was a BLUES singer. The raspy, rough vocals of blues are what Janice was good at belting out. Janice's soul and rasp was what made her a great performer.
Bianca's voice was made for soul, gospel and R&B (which is NOT what used to be called "Rythem and Blues"). Her voice is full, mature and she has a ton of presence.
Caitlyn is also an amazing singer, but her voice isn't nearly as developed as Bianca's.
I voted for Bianca, but it really doesn't matter. Both will get record deals after the show is over.

We can throw conspiricy theories around all night, but it IS quite possible that the record companies have already scouted Bianca and are pushing her hype because they already have plans in mind for her. OR it could be that her voice really IS astonishingly developed for her age and that her hype is deserved.
Caitlyn has a wonderful voice, but it's the voice of a 12 year old. I can't imagine her pulling off Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" with all the soul of Whitney Houston. I can see Bianca doing that.
