Full Version: Nathan the Magician
NBC > Reality > America's Got Talent

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Nathan was rolled away and was back stage. Then the cannon was positioned and fired the streamers toward the judges as Nathan jumped down. What's the big deal?

Rocket scientists are overrated. There are far more intelligent professions out there that can be used in conjunction with trying to figure out complex things.

Jumped down? From where?
I challenge anybody to figure that act out.

And that's the big deal.

Nathan was absolutly phenominal. I do know how Nathan did the trick but only because i myself am an amatuer magician and can do a simpler version of the trick. Since i can duplicate some of the tricks i grade the magicians on performance and weather or not they could be easily caught by "the public" honouring the magicians code i wont release how he did it but he hid the secret of the illusion well and got my vote for tonight

Would you feel better if I agreed with you? That means he didn't jump down, but popped out of nowhere.

He was rolled off the stage in the ladder/steps which at first appeared to be just steps when in reallity it was a box of sorts. He was rolled off the stage and then he went into the audience and then popped up behind the judges. A nice illusion, especially with the cameras help.

I think he came up from the floor....from what I could see..after he was wheeled away. It was entertaining but I don't think it was that difficult of a trick.

The trickiest part to figure out is how he snuck into the audience unnoticed. It seems unlikely there would have been a trap door conveniently there.

Or how he recovered after being turned into a piece of paper and shot out of a cannon. That was easily the second best recovery of the night.

I actually did a search for "Lebanon" just to see what info I could relate too. It seems the current state of this area is in "not so desirable" conditions, so I will have to temporarily pass on this offer.

Also, I shouldn't have to explain the intentional "non rocket scientist" type comments made entirely for my own amusement should I?
Afterall, it's keeping alive a topic about a potential "talent" finalist that isn't getting enough publicity/controversy.

Right! Right?

I saw Nathan perform in Vegas and he is excellent. He interacts with the audience as well, but it's not easy to work that into a 90 second bit

Chineseplayground - It may not take a rocket scientist, but it sure tricked you. I know for a fact that it was not done as you suspect. It's a bigger deal than you think!
