I LOVE this excerpt from WP's stance:
". . . trust these award-winning writers to do their jobs. At worst we'll witness the most cringe-worthy breakup of the century. At best we'll fall in love with love."
A-men to that!
That was my favorite line, too. Jim and Pam's relationship is what love is all about. After watching them suffer in angst-ville for three seasons, it would be a refreshing storyline to see a couple actually be happy and in love on a sitcom. They're relationship isn't perfect, but I am fully prepared to fall in love with love faults and all.

I for one believe that Jim and Pam will make us fall in love with love again. I think we need that. In fact it makes me a little sad that we can't seem to find some satisfaction in a happy healthy relationship and we have some desire for drama that comes in turbulent, heartbreaking and angsty relationships. There has to be a way to enjoy a fictional couple finding and maintaining their happiness and I believe that The Office has just the right people on staff to find that way. It's time for something new and it's time for something fresh. Having a couple come together, stay together and still manage to find a way to enlighten and still entertain us may be just what we need.
You took the words right out of my mouth. JAM has the potential to portray a realistic relationship rather than a stereotypical sitcom couple that goes through the predicitable and tired story arc of getting together, breaking up, and getting back together again after some huge overblown emotional event. JAM's relationship follows a very unpredictable pattern of taking it one day at a time. I can relate to them in this context more so than if they were in a constant state of emotional angst. Season 3 was brilliant, but it was tough to watch with JAM colored glasses. Over on the PD, there is a discussion raging on how disconnected JAM feels in Season 4 in comparison to previous seasons. There are many factors that lead to this, but essentially JAM is the couple we always wanted them to be. Their relationship is just more private and the pain of broken hearts is no longer in play. Jim and Pam's relationship has evolved in a very natural way, which in itself is a breath of fresh air. I like the fact that I don't know what is going to happen. Without a traditional storyline it's impossible to know the next step the writers will take. In the process, they are entertaining us as they continue to be the most normal thing about Dunder Mifflin. And it doesn't hurt that we get a little kiss here and there!

And if it starts to fail, Jim and Pam can always go on the back burner. There's plenty of other things going on on the show, that it isn't completely reliant on the JAM relationship.
Absolutely. There are so many characters in the ensemble with plenty of room for new storylines. Between the writers and the characters they have to work with, there are endless possiblities for the show. Although, I am a JAM fan to the core, I'd love to see other characters get more of the spotlight.
