This may sound like a silly question but is Sean Hayes really gay? His character as "Jack" is so believeable. And I think I may have read that he said he wanted people to really believe this character was gay. So, what do you think? I used to think he was married but I was mistaken. What are your opinions?

No Sean is not gay. But he does such a great Job doesn't he! LOL

I don't think Sean has actually said if he is gay or straight. He has said before that he thinks it fun that some people think he is gay and that some think he is straight. I personally think he is straight but it doesn't really matter what his sexuality is all that matters is that he is a great actor.

See i personally do think he is gay in real life i heard that at least ... i dunno i guess this a mystery that will plague mankind for centuries cause if you look close when he is off screen and being himself there are certain mannerisms a straight guy wouldn't do .... i dunno...

ohhh GOD!!!.......where do i BEGIN?!?!....they have about 57 pages of this topic on imdb.com discussing whether or not he's gay, and the rumors that those ppl believe are the most stupidest things ive ever heard in my life.......over the last two years i became one of the most hardcore sean fans i know..........i mean i trully do believe that hes my brother from another mother cause we have similir pasts and family problems and uprbringings, but anyway, PERSONALLY i dont even want to guess, bcuz just like he said, whether he's gay or straight, when he acts he want us convinced that he is who he's portraying, and if he tells us whether he is or iznt will destroy that, AND deplete him of millions of fans...............all i know is that he makes me peee mah pantsss, and i love him to death for that, and being an aspiring actor myself, my dream would be to work with him out of ANYONE in hollywood, and i think that this question is just a stupid topic that results in nothing exept the fact that he is as brilliant as they come..............and lets face it...............there aint NO ONE who plays gay better then sean.....................NO 1!

I agree about that. His sexuality shouldnt and doesnt matter. Its all about how good of a person and actor he is. And he is FABULOUS!! I love Sean, he's the absolute best.

Hayes and he played a nonstereotypical gay character in the movie Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss.The actor was openly gay, doing interviews. The movie did, like, ten dollars in business. Now Sean Hayes plays a stereotypical gay on Will and Grace and refuses to say whether he's gay. Truth in advertising is discouraged in show business."

Has Sean himself said anything? No, and good for him for not feeding the paparazzi. But really, so to speak, it's an open secret.
