Hello! New to the Lumi fan thread but happy to be here! I used to love Lumi together, but I was beyond upset when Kate broke them up. I stopped watching even before it happened because I knew it was coming, and I had no interest in seeing it. I missed out on about a year, actually, so does anyone want to fill me in on what happened? I didn't see the wedding but I heard that Lucas dumped her in front of everyone.

I dont think Lucas abuses Sami in any way. Sami does things that drive Lucas nuts. I honestly think hes justified and has the right to get angry with Sami when shes done something she knows will hurt herself and her family.

Exactly, they have both exploded on one another, but if they didnt have such deep feelings for each other, they wouldnt really care. Like people whom I dont care about or love, they cant hurt me no matter what they say. To me there opinion doenst matter or count. But when a perosn you love deeply cuts you down or rips into you, it cuts you like a knife, because this person is someoen you love and respect and wouldnt want to see you in any other light but loving and kind.

I also struggle with this reasoning.
I can see that Sami and Lucas both have many faults. Neither is perfect in the least.
Seems people are blinded by the british accent and shady smile as well.

Blinded by the handsome, and british accent.. I guess.. I think alot of it is the fact that they don't like the way Lucas talks to Sami... Like she is an angel... There is always anger, and resentment when you are in arguments, you always say things that you don't mean, then life goes on... You would think that know one gets in arguments with their spouses..

Heck, my hubby and I have some doozies. LMAO
This doesn't mean that I don't love him. If anything we come out of the arguements feeling stronger and more secure in our relationship because we got through the rough seas and are still together.
The big difference between the pain that Lucas and EJ cause Sami its the simple fact that EJ's is intentional where as Lucas is based on hurt and its remoreful
